It's not hard to guess that one of Elizabeth Zepp's fashion icons is the '60s supermodel Twiggy. "I love showing long, thin legs with a heel and a short dress, but not tight. I like fake eyelashes," says the 34-year-old human resources director for Agora Publishing. In fact, the Roland Park resident resembled her icon in the outfit she was wearing as co-chair of a fashion show at Red Maple to raise money for the Roberto Clemente Santa Ana Health Clinic in Nicaragua. For Zepp, it's all about having fun with the clothes she has, and not being afraid to step outside the box and into a pair of her mandatory high-heel stilettos.

Sgt. Maj. Frank Zepp will rise this Easter morning, as he does every morning in Baghdad, eager to spread the word of God. He'll do it armed with a 9 mm pistol and an M-16. As assistant to the multinational corps' chief chaplain in Iraq, this Lansdowne native has a mission that's part altar boy, part bodyguard. He sets up candles and crosses, reads Scripture, leads singing - and stands ready to cut down anyone who might try to kill his boss, the chaplain, Col. Michael Tarvin. The Army does not allow chaplains to bear arms, so they have assistants who provide "personal force protection" as well as help with their pastoral duties.

The farmers of Carroll County, with a rich, varied tradition of agriculture, are adapting to changing markets and shifting demands in innovative ways to preserve their agrarian culture. Unprecedented residential growth and decreased market demand led to a drop in the county's acreage of harvested cropland, according to a 2002 University of Maryland agricultural study, from about 117,000 acres in 1960 to about 103,000 acres in 2000. However, the county is still a thriving agricultural center.
