Orioles right-hander Scott Feldman strolled to the mound for the ninth inning Friday night with 101 pitches under his belt and a relatively short leash as he saw two relievers warming up in the home bullpen. The 30-year-old pitcher didn't waste any time, needing just five pitches in the final inning to complete his first career shutout in a 4-0 win over a free-swinging Chicago White Sox team before an announced 26,253 at Camden Yards. “He was in command all night,” catcher Matt Wieters said.

CHICAGO - The Orioles made their way west Thursday evening riding the momentum of having won their first two road series of the season, heading to Anaheim for the last leg on their three-city, 10-game road trip. Anyone who suggested the Orioles would leave winners of five of their first seven games of the trip would have be deemed optimistic, but their play away from Camden Yards over the past week has the team sitting pretty atop the American League East at 8-5. The Orioles' 5-3 win over the White Sox on Thursday afternoon at U.S. Cellular Field gave them three wins in four games here on Chicago's South Side, before traveling to Anaheim for three games against the Angels.

Orioles left-hander Joe Saunders acknowledged he carried some extra adrenaline into his first start with his new team Wednesday night. Saunders grew up in Northern Virginia cheering for the Orioles, and said he spent a handful of times every season at Camden Yards. But his debut as a member of the Orioles didn't lead to positive memories. The 31-year-old veteran, dealt to the Orioles on Sunday from the Arizona Diamondbacks,  allowed four runs in the first inning in a 8-1 loss to the Chicago White Sox. The Orioles missed an opportunity to gain ground in the American League East with the loss.
