A 62-year-old Prince George's County woman was killed late Saturday afternoon in a four-car pileup at the intersection of Route 210 and Kerby Hill Road near Oxon Hill, authorities reported.The victim, Constance Westbrook of the 7900 block of Claudia Drive, Oxon Hill, was a passenger in a car driven by her husband, Edwin Westbrook, 70.Prince George's police said the Westbrooks' car was southbound on Route 210 when it struck a car turning left at Kerby Hill Road. The impact spun the car, driven by Ricardo Ray, 22, of Fort Washington, into the intersection and caused it to become wedged between two other cars stopped at the light.

Freddie Mitchell, a demonstrative, former first-round draft pick of the Philadelphia Eagles, hadn't embraced his role this season playing in the shadow of Pro Bowl receiver Terrell Owens. He has jumped up after a catch, for instance, and pointed at his wrist, as if to say, "It's about time." He's not above complaining about quarterback Donovan McNabb's choice of pass targets, either, as he did on one occasion earlier in the season. But now, after all the posturing and pouting, Mitchell gets his best chance in four years to show whether he can make plays downfield in the passing game.

What's new: Wide receiver Michael Westbrook returned to practice yesterday and passed all his early tests in drills. Westbrook suffered a slight tear to his left posterior cruciate ligament in Washington's 31-10 victory over the New York Giants on Sept. 15 and has been undergoing rehab for three weeks.He has been fitted for a knee brace and is on schedule to return to action in one to two weeks, said coach Norv Turner. There is some slight swelling in the knee, but trainer Bubba Tyer said there is no reason for concern.

Eagles DT Brodrick Bunkley vs. Ravens OG Ben Grubbs Bunkley and fellow defensive tackle Mike Patterson have been the keys to Philadelphia's run defense. Bunkley is a load to move in the middle. He plays with power and has agility. He can collapse the pocket. Grubbs has had a solid season. He started out well but has leveled off the past two weeks. The Ravens will need a strong effort from him against Bunkley and for the rest of the season. Edge: Bunkley: Eagles RB Brian Westbrook vs. Ravens linebackers Westbrook is an amazing weapon, but his status is questionable because of an injury.

The Anne Arundel County Council voted to approve a deal this week that allows struggling Millennium Digital Media Services to hand over its 38,000 cable customers to Comcast Corp. The agreement between St. Louis-based Millennium and Comcast needs federal approval. Kelvin Westbrook, chairman of Millennium, said endorsement by the local government is one factor federal officials consider. Westbrook said he has received "all sorts of assurances that [Comcast] will maintain the same level of service."
