A group of youths attacked a school bus driver and briefly took the vehicle for a joyride Thursday afternoon in West Baltimore, police confirmed. Three teenagers were taken into custody, and the driver suffered minor injuries, police said. At about 2:35 p.m., police said the bus was parked in the 700 block of W. Lexington St. when a group of youths got onto the bus and assaulted the driver. The driver was the only person on the bus at the time, police said. The driver got off the bus, and the youths drove the bus around the block, returning to the 700 block of W. Lexington St., police said.

A man was shot in West Baltimore on Wednesday night, with homicide detectives called because of the severity of the man's injuries, city police said. A man was fatally stabbed early Saturday morning after getting into an argument with two men on a street in West Baltimore, police said. The man was found in the 200 block of N. Payson St. in the Penrose area at around 1 a.m. with multiple stab wounds. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital about half an hour later, police said. Baltimore went a week without a homicide until Saturday after a rash of slayings in the first couple of weeks in the year. Saturday's fatal stabbing is the 19th homicide in Baltimore in 2014.

A 27-year-old man was hospitalized in serious condition after he was stabbed early Tuesday in West Baltimore, according to city police. Two men were assaulted and stabbed by three people at 2:17 a.m. during an argument in the 2800 block of Brighton St., police said. One man, 24, had a minor injury and was treated and released, police said. The 27-year-old was admitted to a local hospital and remained in serious condition. Police did not identify the victims and said they had no suspects or motives.

A 35-year-old man was found fatally stabbed Tuesday morning inside a West Baltimore home, according to police. A resident of the home in the 1400 block of N. Dukeland St., in the Northwest Community Action neighborhood, found Timothy Mason on the second floor suffering from several stab wounds to his chest, police said. Medical personnel pronounced Mason dead at 11:28 a.m., according to police. No arrests have been made, and investigators have not determined a motive, said Agent Donny Moses, a police spokesman.

Three people were transported to area hospitals Sunday night as the result of a three-car accident in West Baltimore. The Baltimore City Fire Department responded to the crash at Gwynns Falls Parkway and Longwood Street at 8:46 pm. One of the injured was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma, while another was taken to Sinai Hospital and a third to the Johns Hopkins Hospital. No other information was available Sunday night.
