Governor's Grant Washington Homes has 122 townhouses for sale in its Governor's Grant community in Columbia. The community offers public water and sewer systems, dual zone gas and electric heat and optional gas cooking. Homes have brick fronts, security systems and two-car garages with base prices starting at $312,000. Warfield IV, the model and one of four floor plans, features a 19-by-12-foot recreation room, a two-car garage and a foyer. On the first level, the model has an 11-by-13-foot family room, an 11-by-16 living room, a 10-by-12 dining room, a 7-by-12 kitchen, a bathroom and an exterior deck.

Gas heat and hot water are standard in the Anne Arundel County development.The least-expensive home offered is the Cromwell, which has a base price of $189,990 for 1,975 square feet.A one-car garage, foyer with guest closet, 14-by-14-foot living room, 10-by-12-foot dining room, 9-by-10-foot kitchen, 8-by-10-foot breakfast room and 11-by-15-foot family room occupy the first floor.

A bankruptcy judge has allowed four major creditors to take back approximately 300 building lots in Maryland and Virginia from the Chapter 7 liquidation of Regency Homes Inc. and its affiliates, a move that gets homebuyers a step closer to a resolution in one of the largest homebuilder debacles ever in Maryland.Judge S. Martin Teel Jr. signed off on a motion of sale Friday from Zvi Guttman, trustee for the estate, that allows Provident Bank of Maryland, Sterling, Va.-based Bank United, First Union National Bank and Ohio Savings Bank of Cleveland to take back their lots in exchange for $21 million in secured claims against the estate.

WASHINGTON -- Schult Homes Corp. of Middlebury, Ind., filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission to sell about $20 million of common shares to the public.The company, the nation's oldest producer of factory-built homes, filed to sell 1.45 million common shares.Schult Homes will use the proceeds to expand its production and sale of modular homes and possibly to develop a consumer financing capability, the company said.
