FIRE* Hampstead: Units from Hampstead, Manchester, Lineboro and Arcadia of Baltimore County responded to a report of smoke in a house on Gross Mill Road at 9:34 a.m. Wednesday. Units were at the scene for 46 minutes and Arcadia transferred an engine to fill in for Hampstead for 30 minutes.Hampstead responded to a wash detail on N. Main Street at 6:41 a.m. Wednesday.

King, a Taneytown plumbing and heating contractor, has been honored for his service on the board of directors of the Tressler Lutheran Fund.The fund is an endowment that supports Tressler Lutheran Services' programs for children and families. Mr. King was vice chairman of the board. The fund is based near Mechanicsburg, Pa.FireNew Windsor: New Windsor responded to a wash detail near Routes 31 and 75 at 6:23 a.m. Tuesday. Units were out for 2 1/2 hours.
