Devoted grandfather of Vicky Muddiman, Connie Graham, Scott Wahl, Paulette Brinkman and Timothy Russell. Also survived by eight great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at the family owned Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 York Road (beltway exit 26A)

Orem "Jerry" Wahl, the co-owner of a Mount Vernon framing shop who was a theater first-nighter, died of a heart attack Saturday at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He was 73. Pat Moran, a friend and film casting agent, said he was stricken while in the lobby of his home, the St. Paul at Chase condominium. Born in Baltimore and raised in East Baltimore, he was a 1955 Patterson High School graduate. As a child he was a drum major and performed in local theater. Friends said he spent his childhood weekend afternoons at the old State Theatre on East Monument Street where vaudeville acts played alongside films.

Marvin C. "Mike" Wahl, a retired labor lawyer and labor arbitrator, died Oct. 29 at Sinai Hospital of complications from a stroke. He was 97. The son of Austria-Hungary immigrants, Mr. Wahl was born and raised in Jersey City, N.J., where he graduated in 1932 from Lincoln High School. After earning a bachelor's degree in 1936 from Syracuse University, he entered Cornell University Law School, where he earned his law degree in 1938. Mr. Wahl, who was known as "Mike," began his legal career at Nordlinger, Reigelman and Cooper in New York City, where he met and fell in love with another lawyer, Blanche Genauer.

Annapolis Area Christian senior ace Bekah Wahl has led her team to a 9-5 record. The Eagles started the Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland B Conference playoffs this week as the No. 3 seed and hope to make a run at playing in the finals for the second straight season. Wahl, who also played volleyball, has a weighted grade point average above 4.0 and scored 1,870 on her SAT. Wahl is a member of the National Honor Society, the school's LIFE group (an anti-drug program) and the Magical Singing group.

Towson District Court Judge Blanche G. Wahl had a tough day on the bench during this holiday week, but it was even tougher for the defendants. Of the 14 people who stood before her, Wahl sent nine to state prison, prompting prosecutor J.T. Smith to remark that he'd "never sent so many people to jail in one day."Of the other five defendants, one was released after spending the last month in jail for stiffing a cab driver for a $16 fare, one asked for a jury trial, one had charges dropped, one pleaded mental illness and the case of one was postponed.
