On July 30, 2004, VIRGIE MARIE RUSSELL; preceded in death by numerous brothers and sisters; survived by many nieces and nephews and numerous great-nieces and nephews. Beloved wife of the late James Oscar Beck, devoted mother of Marlene Patricia Curry-Taylor and the late Shirley Mae Bair and the late James Rayburn. Also survived by a son-in-law, Albert Bair Sr.; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and predeceased by one grandson and one great-grandson. Services will be held at the family owned McComas Funeral Home, P.A., Abingdon, MD on Tuesday, December 19, 2006 at 10 A.M. Interment will be in Bel Air Memorial Gardens, Bel Air, MD. Friends may call at the funeral home in Abingdon on Monday, December 18, 2006 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. Those who desire may contribute to the Joppa-Magnolia Ladies Auxiliary, 1403 Old Mountain Rd South, Joppa, MD 21085.

For two years us boys -- that's George and Will and Nelson and Val and me, C.C. -- been schooling at a place started by some folks who love the Lord. Quakers, they call themselves.
