POLICE* New Windsor: A resident of the 400 block of S. Springdale Road told state police someone kicked in the door of her home and stole a camcorder and a videocassette recorder Monday. She put the loss at more than $300.

POLICE LOG* Ellicott City: 18100 block of New Cut Court: Firearms, televisions, videocassette recorders and other property were stolen from a home after a resident left doors unlocked Friday, police said.* Elkridge: 6700 block of Pirch Way: Someone broke into a vacant mobile home and stole a fire extinguisher Sunday, police said.

POLICE LOG* Oakland Mills: 9400 block of Merryrest Court: A videocassette recorder and other property was stolen after someone pried open a home's rear sliding glass door Thursday or Friday, police said.* Kings Contrivance: 8500 block of Guilford Road: Someone pried open a home's front door Friday, but fled when an alarm sounded.

POLICE* Westminster: A Western Maryland College official told city police that someone broke into a cabinet in Decker Auditorium and stole a videocassette recorder Monday. The loss was estimated at $500.FIRE* Reese: Reese and Gamber firefighters responded to a trash fire on Deer Park Road at 7:35 p.m. Wednesday. Units were out 25 minutes.

Police logCooksville: 14100 block of Old Frederick Road: A burglar entered a home after breaking the glass in the rear door, kicked open a bedroom door, searched through drawers and stole a TV and a videocassette recorder Wednesday afternoon, police said.
