* Harper's Choice: 5400 block of Hesperus Drive: A videocassette recorder and stereo were taken between 6 p.m. Dec. 19 and 7:30 p.m. Thursday from a residence that was entered through a broken window.* Wilde Lake: 5100 block of Phantom Court: A suitcase, jewelry, cash, stereo and a videocassette recorder were taken between 7 a.m. Wednesday and 7:45 p.m. Saturday. The burglar entered the house by climbing onto the roof to reach the second story, then breaking a window. A TV and camera belonging to the homeowner had been moved, leading police to believe the suspect may have been interrupted while in the house.

POLICE LOG* Chesterfield: Someone broke into and ransacked a home in the 2900 block of Bristol Channel Court Monday afternoon, stealing jewelry and a videocassette recorder all valued at $2,300. Entry was gained through a screen on the kitchen window. A neighbor told police she saw a man cut through her yard between 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.

A 15-year-old girl was sexually assaulted yesterday by one of five men who broke into a home on Gunwood Place in Crofton and stole a videocassette recorder, police said.Police said the girl called 911 shortly after midnight Sunday. She had also been hit in the face, she said.The girl was treated at North Arundel Hospital and released.
