Bel Air police are releasing few details about a woman who said she delivered a stillborn baby at a home in the town and then threw the body away. The unidentified woman contacted police Tuesday to say she had wrapped the infant's body in a plastic bag and placed it in a trash bin just outside the downtown area of the Harford County seat. Police escorted the woman to the 900 block of Sablewood Road, where she pointed out the exact location of the refuse container. Harford County Sheriff's Department deputies assisted the town police at the scene and recovered the body at about 6 p.m. The woman was taken to Upper Chesapeake Medical Center for treatment.

An accident Sunday in the Hanover area of Anne Arundel County has resulted in the death of an unidentified pedestrian, police said. Anne Arundel police said the man, dressed in dark clothing, was walking in the right eastbound lane of Dorsey Road, just west of the intersection with Ridge Road. The man was struck shortly before 8 p.m. by a Mazda sedan, driven by Matthew J. Lang, 26, of Harmans, who was not injured and who remained at the scene. The pedestrian was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was pronounced dead.

A man walking his dogs shortly before 10 p.m. Wednesday alerted Baltimore police to a body lying in a playground in the Norwood Heights neighborhood in Southwest Baltimore. The unidentified male victim, who had been shot in the head, was pronounced dead at 10:02 p.m. at the scene in the 4300 block of Cedargarden Road, investigators said. City police are investigating two shootings that took place Friday night in West Baltimore, including a homicide in the Mount Holly neighborhood. Detective Jeremy Silbert, a Baltimore police spokesman, said officers were called to the 2200 block of Elsinore Ave. about 9:10 p.m. and found a man shot multiple times. He was pronounced dead about 30 minutes later, Silbert said. Officers had been called to the area about an hour earlier for reports of a shooting, but did not find a victim at that time, two law enforcement sources said Friday night.

Baltimore city police are investigating a stabbing that occurred early Tuesday in the downtown area. A man, whose age and identity were not known, was stabbed multiple times in the 100 block of East Redwood Street at about 2:40 a.m. The spot is near the Bank of America building and about two blocks from the Inner Harbor. Baltimore County Police said they are investigating a homicide in Woodlawn Tuesday. An unidentified man was found dead on the front lawn of a single-family home in the 3500 block of Woodmoor Road. An unknown caller told police about the body at 7:19 a.m., police said. Officers remained on the scene throughout the morning. As of noon, police had not identified the victim. Baltimore Police are working to identify a man who was fatally shot in East Baltimore early Thursday morning. Officers responded to a call for shots being fired in the 1200 block of Valley St., in the Johnston Square neighborhood, at 12:33 a.m., police said. They found the male victim lying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds, according to police. He was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 12:59 a.m., police said. The victim was found on a street that runs between Green Mount Cemetery and Johnston Square Park.

A person was killed this morning when a trailer fell at a Coca-Cola bottling plant in East Baltimore, according to a statement from the city Fire Department. Few details were immediately available. Chief Kevin Cartwright, a fire spokesman, said the accident occurred about 10:30 a.m. at the plant in the 700 block of Kresson St., near East Monument Street and Pulaski Highway. The identity of the worker and other details, such as age and gender, have not yet been released. Cartwright said the victim was a vender contracted to work at the plant.
