A man was found dead in the 700 block of N. Carrollton Ave. shortly after 11 p.m. Tuesday, police said in a statement. The unidentified man had been shot, police said. The shooting took place in the West Baltimore neighborhood of Harlem Park. No other information was available Wednesday morning from the Baltimore Police Department, which is investigating the shooting. Baltimore police are investigating the homicide of a 38-year-old man found early Monday in Reservoir Hill. The victim, Edward Bardney, was found at 12:55 a.m. lying on a curb in the 2200 block of Linden Ave., about a block north of North Avenue, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, police said. Bardney was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was pronounced dead at about 1:35 a.m. Police said the suspect approached Bardney and fired at him as he tried to flee, then ran away on foot.

A 25-year-old man was shot in the head and chest early Sunday morning in the parking lot of Pimlico Race Course , which has recently started hosting late-night private events in hopes of generating additional revenue. The shooting was one of at least two violent incidents in the city tied to the night-life scene, with three hospitalized after a stabbing inside a Mount Vernon club. At Pimlico, officials from the Maryland Jockey Club said they were reviewing the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

Baltimore County Police said they are investigating a homicide in Woodlawn Tuesday. An unidentified man was found dead on the front lawn of a single-family home in the 3500 block of Woodmoor Road. An unknown caller told police about the body at 7:19 a.m., police said. Officers remained on the scene throughout the morning. As of noon, police had not identified the victim. The death of a 4-year-old girl taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital last week with severe head trauma is being investigated as a homicide, city police said. Police were contacted on Aug. 24 by child protective services officials, who said 4-year-old Dramiara Johnson had been admitted to the hospital with massive head trauma and was not expected to survive. The girl's mother said the girl had been "play-fighting" with her brother at their Northeast Baltimore home and fell and hit her head, but the attending physician "believed that this was not an accident," according to Detective Donny Moses, a police spokesman.

The body of an unidentified man was found early Sunday on the median strip near a Giant Food store in Owings Mills, and police believe he may have died of natural causes, Baltimore County police said. The man's body was found in the 9900 block of Reisterstown Road, around 8 a.m. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will conduct an autopsy to determine a cause of death, authorities said. A man was shot in Northeast Baltimore on Friday night and later died, police said. Officers found the unidentified man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds inside an apartment in the 2200 block of Fleetwood Avenue at about 10:44 p.m. The victim was transported to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center where he died. An unidentified man found in Sandtown-Winchester late Saturday night was pronounced dead soon after from multiple stab wounds, according to police. Police found the man in the 1600 block of N. Fulton Ave. and transported him to Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was pronounced dead early Sunday morning. Police took a person of interest into custody, but did not have a motive. — Baltimore Sun staff
