A man robbed the Odenton Hi-Gear Auto store of an undisclosed amount of money Wednesday, county police said.The man walked into the store in the 1600 block of Annapolis Road shortly after 8: 30 p.m., held his hand in his waistband as if he had a weapon and demanded cash.The clerk emptied the cash register contents into a bag and handed it to the man, police said.Pub Date: 3/15/96

Someone in Anne Arundel County is robbing fast food shops and giving two former Republican presidents very bad reputations.According to county police, suspects on separate occasions have committed armed robberies while wearing rubber masks of the likenesses of Presidents Ronald Reagan and Richard Nixon.Around 8:30 p.m. Sunday, a man armed with a blue steel revolver and wearing a dark suit jacket, dark pants and a rubber pull-over Ronald Reagan mask robbed a Little Caesar's shop in the 400 block of Ritchie Highway of an undisclosed sum of money.

Baltimore's only potato chip company has been bought by the owner of an Eastern Shore company that got its start in the mid-1980s by challenging the maker of Old Bay for its near monopoly of the steamed crab seasoning market.Mrs. Ihrie's Potato Chips Inc., an East Baltimore business born out of tragedy nearly 70 years ago, was bought by Joseph L. Bernard, owner and president of Wye River Inc. on Kent Island.Mr. Bernard, 38, declined to reveal the price other than to say, "It was in the millions of dollars."

Baltimore CityTC large-caliber handgun and the other with a spray can containing a chemical irritant, robbed Morrison's Cafeteria in the 8000 block of Ritchie Highway last night of an undisclosed sum. Police said the men entered the cafeteria around 9:45 p.m. through an unlocked rear door while several employees were cleaning up the kitchen area and preparing to leave. After ordering the employees into the manager's office and forcing them onto the floor, the two men ordered the manager to open the safe and give them its contents.
