Two men, one armed with a handgun, forced their way into an apartment in Edgewood Sunday night and robbed four women ranging in age from 62 to 95 of pain medication, purses, money, bank cards and a cellular phone, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Department. Police said the men knocked on the door of the apartment in the 1900 block of Edgewater Drive about 10 p.m. and introduced themselves as "Junior." Police said one of the occupants has a friend by that name and opened the door.

Two men are being treated at Johns Hopkins Hospital after they were shot in East Baltimore early Saturday, according to city police. Officers responded to a call about 1:25 a.m. to East Preston and North Aisquith Avenue, but Det. Donny Moses, a police spokesman, said the victims were not there. A few minutes later, police were notified that two men with gunshot wounds walked into the Hopkins emergency room. Moses said that each man, ages 28 and 35, had been shot several times in the legs.

Police charged two men Friday in the death of a missing Locust Point man whose body was found in Patapsco Valley State Park last month. Kevin M. Skipper, 30, of the 500 block of E. Fort Ave. was arrested Friday and Christopher S. Calvert, 31, of the 1300 block of Richardson St., for whom police are still searching, are both charged in the death of 31-year-old Matthew C. Martin. Martin was last seen April 9 and was reported missing by his mother, JoAnn Martin, on April 11. His body was found by two fisherman May 15 in the state park.

A routine traffic stop in Annapolis on Monday led to the discovery of a large stash of heroin and three arrests, police said in a Friday news release. The 80.3 grams of heroin seized, which would have been worth $16,000 on the street, were not found in the vehicle stopped but in a rental vehicle parked nearby, police said. The woman and two men arrested were all from Annapolis. According to police, officers first stopped a bright green Lincoln in the 1100 block of Medgar Evers Street for undisclosed traffic violations at about 4:40 p.m., and discovered the driver, Deon Matthews, 20, had a suspended license.

A 27-year-old man was hospitalized in serious condition after he was stabbed early Tuesday in West Baltimore, according to city police. Two men were assaulted and stabbed by three people at 2:17 a.m. during an argument in the 2800 block of Brighton St., police said. One man, 24, had a minor injury and was treated and released, police said. The 27-year-old was admitted to a local hospital and remained in serious condition. Police did not identify the victims and said they had no suspects or motives.

Two men were seriously burned Friday in a blaze at a recreational fire pit in Keymar in Carroll County. According to the Maryland fire marshal, about 20 members of the Taneytown Volunteer Fire Company responded to a call in the 7500 block of Middleburg Road shortly after 8 p.m. Friday. They found three people suffering from burns from a flash fire that is believed to have been caused by poured gasoline. Police and fire officials said that five people had been sitting around the backyard fire pit. Two men were seriously burned and flown by Maryland State Police to the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.

Two men were seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday morning after the pickup truck they were riding in flipped over, ejecting them, Anne Arundel County police and fire officials said. The men, whom police said were in their 20s and 30s, were taken by paramedics to Maryland Shock Trauma Center for injuries that appeared to be serious but not life-threatening, said Lt. Keith Hamilton of the Anne Arundel County Fire Department. The accident occurred about 5:45 a.m., as the green Ford pickup was traveling west on Route 100 at Interstate 97, said Lt. Glenn Shanahan, of the Anne Arundel County Police Department.

Two men were shot to death within three hours and eight blocks of each other Saturday night and early Sunday in East Baltimore, according to police. At 10:40 p.m. Saturday, police found the body of a man in his mid-20s in the middle of the 1600 block of N. Port St. The victim was shot once in the head and was pronounced dead at Johns Hopkins Hospital at 11 p.m. His identity was not released pending notification of kin. At 12:55 a.m., police responded to another call about a shooting on the east side and found the body of 30-year-old Jason Rogers in the middle of the 1000 block of N. Patterson Park Ave. Police spokesman Donny Moses said Rogers had been shot multiple times.

County police confiscated 14 rocks of fake crack cocaine from two men Tuesday.According to the police report, an undercover detectivehad made arrangements to buy some drugs from two dealers who were tomeet him at a fast-food restaurant on Route 175. The dealers did notshow up, but detectives waited outside a gas station across the street.After a few minutes, the dealers drove up, then left the parking lot of the restaurant. The detectives followed them, stopped the car and searched the two men. They found the counterfeit crack individually packaged in the pockets of one of the men, police said.

Two men were being held in the Howard County Detention Center last night, charged with the armed robbery of another man in a Jessup motel room early yesterday morning.Donald Wayne Jackson, 30, of the 9500 block of Murkick Road in Laurel, was being held on $150,000 bail. Trevor Michael Butler, 29, of the 8300 block of Pioneer Drive in Severn, was held on $100,000 bond. Police did not identify the victim.Both men were charged with robbery with a deadly weapon, theft, assault and a handgun violation.

A Baltimore County Circuit Court Judge on Thursday set bail at $50,000, cash only, for two operators of the Healthy Life Medical Group, on York Road, in Lutherville, who were arrested Tuesday evening. Baltimore County Police on Friday charged two Anne Arundel County men as part of an group that they say attacked two people in Towson on April 13. Police charged Glen Kyle Staley, 27, of Pasedena, and Jamar Rashad Patterson, 22, of Arnold, with second-degree assault following an incident in the 100 block of York Road. They are seeking four other men in conjunction with the incident. At 2:35 a.m., officers were dispatched to an assault in progress. When officers arrived, witnesses told them six males had assaulted two other males, and that the suspects were last seen running toward Linden Terrace.

A 23-year-old West Baltimore man was fatally shot in the head while he was eating crabs at McCulloh Homes on Friday night, authorities said. Police responded to the call at 8:20 p.m. Friday in the 400 block of Watty Court. Brandon Simms had been eating crabs when an unknown gunman walked up and opened fire without warning, police spokesman Donny Moses said. The suspect fled on foot to an unknown location. Simms, whose address wasn't immediately known, died at 1:45 a.m. Saturday at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Police are looking for suspects in a nonfatal shooting Friday on North Avenue, as two victims are being treated in an area hospital. A 42-year-old man was shot in the back and 28-year-old man was shot multiple times, Detective Jeremy Silbert said. Anyone with information is asked to contact police. On Friday afternoon, a city police officer heard gunshots and found a man firing a handgun, police said. The officer fired at least one round before the gunman escaped. The shooter made a get-away in a silver-colored car around 3:15 p.m. from the intersection of West North Avenue and McCulloh Street.

Two out-of-town men have been charged in the armed robbery of a Cockeysville jewelry store on Thursday, officials said. Luis Noel Rodriguez, 28, of New York, N.Y., and Vincent Henry Courts Jr., 28, of Harrisburg, Pa., are being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center on $300,000 bail. The men were charged with armed robbery of the Alpha Gold Exchange in the 10800 block of York Road, according to police. They also face charges of first degree assault and use of a handgun in a felony crime.

City police found two men shot to death in a car parked in the driveway of a Northwest Baltimore house early yesterday. Northwestern District officers were called to the 5500 block of Wesley Ave. shortly before 1 a.m. to investigate reported gunfire. They found a black Nissan sports car parked in a driveway, with bullet damage. Inside the vehicle were the two victims - one in the driver's seat, the other in the passenger seat. They were pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Police said investigators were attempting to confirm the identities of the victims, believed to be in their 30s. They were tentatively identified by their girlfriends, but detectives were still seeking the men's relatives, police said.

Baltimore police are investigating a pair of unrelated shootings that left two men injured Sunday. A 28-year-old man was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center around 12:40 p.m. after being found suffering from gunshot wounds near the intersection of Carey and Laurens streets in West Baltimore, police said. Police believe that he might have been the victim of a robbery attempt. Shortly after 6 p.m., a 21-year-old man was shot in the 500 block of S. Pulaski St. in Southwest Baltimore, police said.
