A two-alarm fire gutted Ross' Crab House in Dundalk on Sunday night, according to a Baltimore County Fire Department spokesman. An employee of the family-owned restaurant in the 1100 block of North Point Road noticed smoke coming from the basement about 7:25 p.m. and alerted five other employees and about 15 customers, who all evacuated the building, said Lt. Jay Ringgold, the spokesman. A fire engine out of the Wise Avenue Volunteer Fire Company that happened to be nearby responded almost immediately, and firefighters entered the building and found heavy fire in the basement that was hard to reach, Ringgold said.

Two separate two-alarm fires in Anne Arundel County Sunday night sent three people to area hospitals for smoke inhalation and non-life-threatening injuries, a county fire spokesman said. At 7:50 p.m., fire crews responded to a two-story townhouse in the middle of a row in the 7900 block of Della Rosa Court in Pasadena for reports of smoke, said Division Chief Michael Cox, a fire spokesman. They found an active fire in the basement and first level of the home, and requested additional support, Cox said.

An early morning fire at a Harford County farm sent one firefighter to the hospital with heat-related injuries and completely destroyed a large garage. Firefighters from the Joppa and Abingdon companies responded at 6:15 a.m. to the two-alarm fire in the 400 block of Darlington Road, in the Darlington community, near Susquehanna State Park. It took about 35 minutes to bring the fire under control. The single-story, six-bay garage and its contents are a total loss, fire officials said.

A person was killed in a two-alarm fire that tore through an Annapolis home Sunday morning, according to the Anne Arundel County Fire Department. The female victim, whose name and age have not been given, was pronounced dead after being found inside the home in the 3400 block of Newport Avenue in the Arundel on the Bay community. About 10 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to the home for reports of a fire. When they arrived, they saw flames coming through the roof of the two-story, single-family home, and were advised by neighbors that an occupant of the home was unaccounted for, the department said.

A woman died following a two-alarm fire at a duplex in the Gambrills area of Millersville that caused $80,000 in damages Sunday night. The woman, estimated to be in her 70s, was found unconscious and unresponsive by firefighters on the second floor of the house in the 1300 block of Ferrara Drive. She was treated at the scene by fire department paramedics and taken to Baltimore Washington Medical Center, where she was later pronounced dead. Officials are withholding the name of the woman and the cause of death pending positive identification and the results of an autopsy being conducted by the State Medical Examiner.

A two-alarm fire burned through a home in Columbia on Tuesday night, bringing about 50 firefighters to the scene to fight the blaze and causing about $150,000 in damages to the home, according to Howard County fire personnel. A woman had to flee the home after the fire broke out, but no one was injured, said Marc Fischer, a county fire spokesman. County fire and rescue crews were first dispatched to the home in 6300 block of Scarlet Petal in the Village of Owen Brown shortly after 7 p.m., Fischer said.

At least one person was injured Saturday night when a two-alarm fire consumed four rowhouses in Dundalk. Police said a woman was found unconscious but breathing and was taken to the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. However, Baltimore County Firefighter Dana Camak said two victims were transported, but the type and extent of their injuries weren't immediately known. Two dogs also died in the blaze, though a third survived. The fire broke out at 5:45 p.m. in one of four rowhouses in the 200 block of St. Helena Avenue.

The rear of a vacant dwelling collapsed as firefighters battled a two-alarm blaze in West Baltimore early Saturday morning, a city fire spokesman said. Firefighters responded to the 600 block of Baker Street at about 5 a.m. and found fire on the top two levels of the three-story brick home, Chief Kevin Cartwright said. The fire was under control by 5:40 a.m., he said, adding that one person was taken to the University of Maryland Medical Center with a non-life-threatening injury.

A 20-year-old Harford County man died Thursday night following a two-alarm house fire in Baldwin that took 50 firefighters from Harford and Baltimore counties nearly two hours to control. According to a statement from the Maryland State Fire Marshal, Conner Daniel McKeown died as a result of a fire in a two-story wood frame house in the 2700 block of Greene Lane. According to the fire marshal's statement, crews were called at 7:47 p.m. and found McKeown unconscious inside the house.
