Anne Walker Simpson and Steven Frederick Truitt were married on July 16, 2005. The wedding ceremony and reception were at Aspen Wye River Institute, Queenstown, MD. The Reverend Michael G. Walllens, Chaplain of Saint Paul's School officiated. The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth H. Simpon, of Darien, CT. She was attended by Matron of Honor, sister, Elizabeth Thomas and Maid of Honor, sister, Katherine Simpson. Her bridesmaids were Eliza Brewer, Kathryn Haggerty, Katherine Kemp and Alison Murphy.

Reginald Van Trump Truitt, founder of the Chesapeake Biological Laboratory and a pioneer in the systematic study of the bay, died Thursday of pneumonia at Memorial Hospital in Easton.Services for Dr. Truitt, who was 100 and lived on Kent Island, were being held today at Christ Episcopal Church in Cambridge.He began the laboratory in 1919 in a shack on Solomons Island, at first financing the work himself with help from the U.S. Bureau of Fisheries and the Maryland Conservation Commission. He retired in 1954 as its director.

On June 24, 2003, NICHOLAS B. "Nick" TRUITT, 32, of Fishers, Indiana. He was born on August 24, 1970 in Baltimore, MD. Mr. Truitt was a graduate ofthe St. Paul's School in Brooklandville, MD and received his undergraduatedegree from Georgetown University in 1993. Nick began his career at T. Rowe Price as an equity analyst where he developed a strong love for the markets. He had lived in the Indianapolis area for the past seven years where he was a mutual fund manager for Strong Asset Management.

Anna Louise Yaruta, an artist and former Owings Mills resident, died in her sleep Sunday at a hospital in Bangor, Maine. She was 88. Born Anna Louise Truitt in Wilmington, Del., she was raised on her parents' dairy farm, MoneyMake Farm in Trappe. During the 1930s, she and her sisters, Marian and Nevitte, sang on the radio as the Truitt Sisters. After her graduation in 1934 from Vienna High School, she enrolled at the Maryland Institute College of Art, where she studied commercial art. After graduating in 1938, she began working as a key punch operator for Baltimore Gas and Electric Co., and later became manager of the department.

Charles Truitt Smith, a retired computer company executive and avid collector of lead soldiers and vintage electric trains, died of a brain tumor Saturday at Gilchrist Center for Hospice Care in Towson. The Lutherville resident was 69. Mr. Smith was born in Baltimore and raised in Roland Park. He was a 1954 graduate of the Gilman School and earned a bachelor's degree in business administration in 1958 from the Johns Hopkins University. He began his business career in 1958 as a salesman for National Cash Register and in 1962 took a similar position with International Business Machines.
