Baltimore: Schools System's attorney leaving position The school system released a statement yesterday saying its longtime attorney, Anthony J. Trotta, is leaving his job. Asked whether Trotta resigned or was fired, school system spokesman Edie House said, "The statement speaks for itself." The statement says Trotta is "at a juncture in his personal and professional life that he would like to pursue other opportunities." Trotta has worked for the school system since 1994, during which time he has overseen lawsuits involving special education and school funding, and charter school negotiations, the statement said.
