Navy Seaman Recruits Jeffrey A. Hoeflich and Christopher F. Reiterhave completed recruit training at Recruit Training Command, Orlando, Fla.During their eight-week training cycle, they studied general military subjects designed to prepare them for further academic and on-the-job training in one of the Navy's 85 basic fields.Their studies included seamanship, close order drill, Naval history and first aid. Personnel who complete this course of instruction are eligible for three hours of college credit in physical education and hygiene.

WINNIE: Navy Seaman Apprentice Paul M. Winnie, son of Pamela A. and David B. Winnie of Joppa, was recently promoted to his rank upon graduation from recruit training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Winnie received the early promotion for outstanding performance during all phases of the training cycle. Training included classroom study and practical instruction on naval customs, first aid, firefighting, water safety and survival and shipboard and aircraft safety. An emphasis was also placed on physical fitness.

She has chosen the position of medical non-commissioned officer as her military occupational specialty and will be assigned to the 2290 Hospital.* Marine Pvt. Neil J. Elin, son of Marilyn A. Caudill of Aberdeen, recently completed recruit training.During the training cycle at Marine Corps Recruit Depot, Parris Island, S.C., recruits are taught the basics of battlefield survival and introduced to military routine, personal and professional standards.Caudill is a 1988 graduate of Aberdeen High School.BUNGORI AT APGPvt. Alex R. Bungori has completed a vehicle-repair course at Aberdeen Proving Ground.Students were taught trouble-shooting, replacement and adjustment of components and assemblies of wheeled vehicles.
