Appeals board expected to rule on permit for Greys Creek 0) pierThe county Board of Appeals could decide today if a Greys Creek man will be allowed to build a 75-foot pier that would partially block a neighboring marina. The Sylvan View Community Association asked the board last month to deny Robert Calvert permission to build an L-shaped pier on the Magothy River tributary.Although the pier would be 15 feet away from the community marina, the minimum legal distance, association members argued it would not leave enough room for the larger boats that dock there to maneuver.
