A 58-year-old man was killed when his motorcycle collided with a Toyota 4Runner in Baltimore County Saturday morning, according to the Baltimore County Police Department. Police on Tuesday identified the motorcyclist who died as John William Moschetto of the 700 block of Hollen Road in Baltimore. The accident occurred on Shawan Road near Beaver Dam Road. According to county police, police and fire officers responded to a call about the accident at 7:57 a.m. When they arrived at the scene, they determined that a motorcycle had a head-on collision with a Toyota 4Runner.

After a drawn-out argument with her adult son early on the morning of June 17, Robin Blackmon called Baltimore County police from her Catonsville home and told a dispatcher that her son was out of control, according to police and court records. Blackmon, a sergeant in the Baltimore Police Department, told the dispatcher she had a gun, county police say. Her son, Andrew Bratcher, was heard in the background by a dispatcher saying his mother had "pulled a gun out on him," according to records.

An off-duty Harford County sheriff's deputy fired his service weapon at a man who he said became combative and then fled after the man rear-ended the deputy's vehicle, the Sheriff's Office said Monday night. The altercation led to a chase that ended with the man crashing his vehicle and then being arrested after a foot chase. A little before 5 p.m., an off-duty deputy assigned to the sheriff's office Violent Crimes Task Force, had just ended his shift and was headed home, according to Eddie Hopkins, spokesman for the Sheriff's Office.

A 16-year-old in-line skating across Ritchie Highway in Glen Burnie was struck and killed by a sport utility vehicle Tuesday evening, Anne Arundel County police said. Eric Lee White of the 300 block of Stiemly Ave. was leaving the Taco Bell near Georgie Avenue when the accident occurred, police said. White was flown to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center and was pronounced dead about 8:30 p.m., police said. The 17- year-old driver of the Toyota 4Runner, Tyler Eugene Hyatt of Glen Burnie, was not injured, police said.

Three people were killed and seven people were injured -- including a bride-to-be who had just left her wedding rehearsal dinner at a local inn -- in a series of crashes yesterday and late Friday in Harford County. Jovan Lamar Brooks, 17, of the 800 block of Walker St. in Aberdeen was killed yesterday after the speeding BMW he was driving eastbound on Route 22 west of Interstate 95 drifted into the path of an oncoming 2000 Chrysler Sedan at about 4:45 p.m., state police said. Brooks was taken to Harford Memorial Hospital in Havre de Grace, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
