The Orioles have been playing out the string for about a month now. The Tigers have been playing out the string for nearly five months. Detroit, which has dealt veterans David Wells and Mike Henneman and dropped Mike Moore, is in a full-fledged youth movement. Manager Sparky Anderson, second baseman Lou Whitaker and shortstop Alan Trammell likely are playing their last games with the Tigers this weekend, and the Orioles have scheduled a video tribute for them. In Trammell and Whitaker's probable last game at Tiger Stadium last week, Mike Mussina, pitching with a big lead, threw fastballs for them to hit. If the same scenario arises, he may do it again Sunday.
