Perhaps I am exaggerating a tad, but it seems like every time another club makes a personnel move, I get an email or a tweet from an Orioles fan wondering if it could affect the Orioles. If a player is rumored to be on the trade block or gets non-tendered or is designated for assignment, fans want to know if the Orioles have interest. Truth is, the Orioles front office hears the same rumors and views the same transaction info as you do. And they vet pretty much every option. And they have interest, to varying extents, on most players.

A fire, apparently started when an 85-year-old Silver Run woman opened the damper of her wood cook stove too much, was confined to the chimney of the two-story frame house yesterday."

A tea kettle left on a stove in a fourth-floor apartment caused a three-alarm fire on Friday night that displaced 100 seniors from a complex in Northwest Baltimore and caused an estimated $280,000 in damage, according to fire investigators. No one was injured in the blaze that broke out shortly before 11 p.m. in the garden-style apartment complex in the Cheswolde neighborhood, in the 6300 block of Red Cedar Place. Residents were taken to a nearby condominium complex, and the fire was confined to two apartments.

FIRE Manchester: Manchester, Hampstead and Lineboro engines were dispatched to a stove fire in the 3700 block of Brothers Delight Drive at 7:59 p.m. Thursday. Units were out for 38 minutes. Hampstead: Hampstead responded to an open 911 line in the 4300 block of Redtail Drive at 7:38 a.m. Thursday.
