Police have made an arrest in a deadly October stabbing that occurred after a dispute in a car near a park in East Baltimore. Larry Douglas, 20, of Baltimore has been charged with first-degree murder in the stabbing of Darren Neal Green Jr., 25, of the first block of N. Woodington Road in Southwest Baltimore. Police found the wounded Green wearing women's clothing in the 1500 block of Montpelier St., near Adams Park, in the Coldstream-Homestead-Montebello neighborhood about 5 a.m. Oct. 26. A counselor said she knew Green as "Dee," and that Green identified as a woman.

A Baltimore Circuit Court jury convicted a man yesterday of robbing an 82-year-old woman of her pocketbook outside a KFC restaurant and stabbing her with a knife when she tried to fight back. Rozza Alston, 40, who lived three blocks from the KFC at North Avenue and St. Paul Street, was found guilty of second-degree assault, robbery with a deadly weapon and openly carrying a dangerous weapon. He faces a maximum of 33 years in prison. The jury acquitted Alston of attempted first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder and first-degree assault.

Maryland State Police and correctional officials are investigating the fatal stabbing Thursday night of a man who was being held on gun charges in the Baltimore City Detention Center, according to a spokesman for the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services. The victim was identified as Kenneth Robinson, 20, who lived in the 3100 block of Belle Ave. in Northwest Baltimore. Rick Binetti, the spokesman, released few details of the attack. He said it occurred about 7 p.m. inside the state-run detention center on East Eager Street.

An early morning fight Sunday in front of Cross Street Market in Federal Hill sent a 24-year-old man to the hospital with a slashed artery in his lower back, police said. The man's alleged attacker, 22-year-old Pasadena resident Leonus Matthews, was arrested for first and second-degree assault after stepping in to assist a family member who was originally fighting with the victim, police said. "The bars had let out. People had too much to drink. Tension's ran high. There was an altercation," said Detective Nicole Monroe, a Baltimore City Police spokeswoman.

A Jessup man who fatally stabbed his brother in 1991 pleaded guilty yesterday in Howard Circuit Court to stabbing a man on Washington Boulevard in 1994 and robbing him.Johnny Lee Mouzon of the 7300 block of Wye Ave. pleaded guilty to one count of robbery with a deadly weapon and was sentenced by Judge Raymond J. Kane Jr. to 6 1/2 years in prison. The judge issued a 12-year sentence, but suspended 5 1/2 years of that term and ordered Mouzon to serve three years of probation after his release.

A 39-year-old man has been arrested and charged with the stabbing of an elderly woman in a KFC parking lot last month, city police said. Rozza Alston was arrested in his home in the 1600 block of St. Paul St. yesterday, said Agent Donny Moses, a police spokesman. Lilli Segal, 80, was walking to her car at 6:15 p.m. on Jan. 26 with a meal purchased at the KFC at North Avenue and St. Paul Street when a man approached her and demanded money. When she refused, he stabbed her in the hand, arm and chest, Moses said.

The man who witnessed Stephen Pitcairn's last breaths was too afraid to give his name. Hours after the stabbing late Sunday, he stood where he found the victim lying face down on St. Paul Street, the pavement still stained even though the blood had been washed away. A lone blue surgical glove lay in the gutter. Twenty feet away, blood had pooled in a crevice, mixing with leaves and covering an empty potato chip bag. The man who held Pitcairn's hand covered his mouth and said he was seeking help for himself from his parish priest.

City police have arrested a 22-year-old man accused of fatally stabbing a man during an altercation sparked over Facebook, according to court records. Police say Harold Montaize Alford became enraged over his girlfriend communicating with a man on the social networking site and began assaulting her. The woman's nephew, 27-year-old Adam Couther, intervened and was stabbed in the neck with a bottle opener with a knife attachment, according to records. When police responded to the scene in the 700 block of N. Lakewood Ave., they found Alford holding a blue towel on Couther's neck in an attempt to stop the bleeding.

The first person who called 911 about the melee in front of Taps bar at Fort Avenue and South Charles Street spoke in a calm voice. "There's a bunch of people yelling and screaming and saying ‘ow,' " the man told a police operator. "I can't tell if it's a fight or what's exactly happening. If the police just come and drive around … that should do." The calls quickly became more frantic. "A bunch of guys, I think they are beating up one guy," a woman said. A man driving by reported "a big fight on the street.

An employee at a Southeast Baltimore homeless resource center has been arrested and charged with stabbing a man who threatened him in a dispute over a bag of soap and toothpaste, according to court records. William Bryant, 55, of the 500 block of Dolphin St., has been charged with attempted second-degree murder in the Nov. 16 incident and was ordered held without bail. Court records show police were called to the Beans & Bread shelter in the 400 block of S. Bond St. for a cutting about 12:45 p.m. The victim, Donald Barnes, told police that he and Bryant got into an argument and that Bryant followed him outside, stabbing him in the lower back with a knife.
