A man was stabbed several times Thursday night in Northwest Baltimore during a fight over a debt from a bet on a football game, according to Baltimore police. Officers went to a hospital just before 7 p.m. to speak with the victim, who had walked in with stab wounds, said spokesman Detective Kevin Brown. The man told police the incident took place in the 4100 block of Amos Avenue, Brown said. Investigators are looking for suspects in the case, he said. Guards found an inmate with stab wounds in the neck and chest about 8: 25 p.m. yesterday in a recreation yard at the Maryland House of Correction in Jessup, a state Division of Correction spokesman said.The inmate, 37, whose name was not released, was in stable condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, spokesman Dave Towers said.No arrest had been made and no weapon was found, he said. A teenager was stabbed yesterday in an Owings Mills apartment building in an apparent robbery attempt, Baltimore County police said. Police were called to an apartment in the first block of Richmar Road about 4:20 p.m. for a report of a stabbing, Cpl. Patrick Wilhelm said. They found an 18-year-old male with several stab wounds to the torso in the vestibule of the apartment building. The victim, whose name was not released, was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center and listed in serious condition, Wilhelm said.

A 35-year-old man was found fatally stabbed Tuesday morning inside a West Baltimore home, according to police. A resident of the home in the 1400 block of N. Dukeland St., in the Northwest Community Action neighborhood, found Timothy Mason on the second floor suffering from several stab wounds to his chest, police said. Medical personnel pronounced Mason dead at 11:28 a.m., according to police. No arrests have been made, and investigators have not determined a motive, said Agent Donny Moses, a police spokesman.

Baltimore City police are investigating a non-fatal stabbing Friday night in the Mid-Town Belvedere neighborhood. Officers were called just before 11:30 p.m. to the unit block of West Preston Street where they found a man suffering from at least two stab wounds, police said. He was taken to an area hospital and police said he expected to survive his injuries. — Jessica Anderson

NORTH EAST -- An autopsy has determined that an unidentified man whose dismembered and burning body was found in Cecil County by a Maryland state trooper Monday died from gunshot and stab wounds.The autopsy yesterday concluded the victim was a black male in his mid- to late 20s, between 180 and 200 pounds, and about 5-foot-10. He had been dead less than 24 hours, state police said.Police believe the victim was killed in a different location from where the body was found. A drug-crazed man stabbed Officer Ira N. Weiner multiple times with an ice pick before he took the officer's pistol and shot him in the back of the head, according to the state medical examiner's office.Officer Weiner, 28, was fatally wounded when he answered a call at a West Baltimore house on Saturday. A West Baltimore man was charged yesterday in the stabbing of two Woodlawn men, one fatally, apparently after an argument over the suspect's ex-girlfriend, Baltimore County police said.William Redcross Jr., 41, of the 500 block of S. Pulaski St. was charged with first-degree murder and attempted murder in the stabbings, which occurred shortly after midnight in the parking lot of Ziggy's restaurant in Arbutus.Walter Spencer, 30, of the 1100 block of Wedgewood Road died at the scene from stab wounds to his chest.

A 30-year-old man is being sought in the stabbings that left a Baltimore businessman dead and his secretary critically wounded, police said yesterday.Charged in a warrant with first- Morozdegree murder, attempted murder and armed robbery was Paul David Moroz of the 3500 block of E. Baltimore St., police said.Detectives are also searching for a second unidentified man who allegedly participated in the attacks.Mr. Moroz formerly worked for James E. Musser, 44, of Ellicott City, who died of multiple stab wounds to the back and neck, police said.

A Brooklyn Park couple were hospitalized in serious but stable condition with stab wounds Monday and the husband is the suspect in the assault, Anne Arundel County police said. Police said the husband had stabbed his wife and himself, adding that the man, whom they identified as a suspect under police guard, will be charged when he is released from the hospital. They are both at Maryland Shock Trauma Center. Officers went to the couple's home around 8 p.m. Sunday after a report of a domestic assault and found the 37-year-old woman and her husband each with several stab wounds, police said.
