Harry E. Sisk, a retired accountant and Vietnam War veteran, died Saturday of complications from an aneurysm at the University of Maryland Medical Center. The Brooklyn Park resident was 66. Mr. Sisk was born in Baltimore and raised near Patterson Park. He attended city public schools and after enlisting in the Army in 1964, her earned his General Educational Development certificate. Mr. Sisk completed two tours of duty in Vietnam, where he worked in communications. He was discharged in 1968.

Services for Emma Jones Sisk, a retired Baltimore County elementary school teacher, will be held at 10 a.m. today at the Leroy M. and Russell C. Witzke Funeral Home, 1630 Edmondson Ave., Catonsville.Mrs. Sisk, who lived on Thackery Avenue in Catonsville, died Monday at St. Agnes Hospital after a long illness. She was 81.She retired about 25 years ago after teaching at elementary schools in the county for 37 years.The former Emma Jones was a native of Millington and a graduate of what is now Salisbury State University.

Jean Crawford Sisk, a longtime Baltimore County educator, died of a heart attack Aug. 27 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Towson. She was 82.Ms. Sisk started her career in Baltimore, teaching English, history, journalism and hygiene. After 12 years in the city, she was coordinator of English for Baltimore County public schools for 26 years and retired in 1975.She also taught graduate-level seminars for high school English teachers.She worked on several high school and college English texts and anthologies, including editing "Major Writers of America" and writing "Masters of Russian Fiction" and "The Teacher's Guide for Major Writers of America."

Campaign sign limits debated at session A Baltimore County councilman urged his colleagues yesterday to support his proposed limits on the posting of campaign signs on private property, but three residents voiced their opposition to the proposal, pointing to First Amendment concerns. County Councilman Kevin Kamenetz's bill would prohibit the posting of campaign signs on private property until 45 days before an election. The measure would also set limits on the size of the signs and require that they be removed within seven days after the election.

A former Oak Grove Baptist Church deacon who pleaded guilty to child sexual abuse was sentenced to 17 years with all but six months suspended yesterday in Harford County Circuit Court.Circuit Judge William O. Carr called the defendant, Wayne E. Sisk, 53, of the 1300 block of N. Fountain Green Road in Bel Air, "every parent's nightmare" for having betrayed the trust that is placed in a Sunday School teacher.Sisk pleaded guilty March 18 to sexually abusing three boys between 1975 and 1981 while serving at Oak Grove Baptist in Churchville.
