On September 12, 2009; beloved husband of Eleanor (nee Damesyn) Stillwagoner. Survivors include two sisters, Ardella Nutter and Geraldine Wyke and sister-in-law, wife of the late Charles Stillwagoner; also brothers, Robert, William and Russell. R. Virginia Seward, who retired as Padonia Elementary School's cafeteria manager, died of cancer Tuesday at her home on West Padonia Road in Cockeysville.Services for Mrs. Seward, who was 77, will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Lemmon-Mitchell-Wiedefeld funeral home, 10 W. Padonia Road.She retired seven years ago after working at the school for 16 years. Earlier, she operated a snack bar at the Padonia Park Club.The former R. Virginia Lee was a native of Baltimore and attended what is now the Notre Dame Preparatory School.

Sigmond L. "Skip" Seward, a retired real estate appraiser who was active in his church, died of a rare cancer of the appendix Saturday at his Towson home. He was 63. Mr. Seward was born in Baltimore and raised on St. Georges Avenue in Govans. He was a 1961 graduate of Loyola High School and earned a bachelor's degree in 1965 from Loyola College. He enlisted in the Army and served in Korea for 13 months, and after returning to Baltimore became an apprentice real estate appraiser for W. Burton Guy and Maryland National Bank.

From the back garden of Sandra Seward's rowhouse in Federal Hill, the bustle of downtown Baltimore's Inner Harbor seems miles away instead of a few blocks. That suits her just fine. "We bought the house next door so we could take over the garden," Seward said, pointing to an adjacent structure with a second-floor wrought-iron balcony and fence. While the fronts of the two Warren Avenue homes are attached, further back each narrows by two feet, forming a walkway, or sally port, between them.
