Baltimore County Councilman Todd Huff pleaded guilty Thursday to driving under the influence, telling a judge that he's learned from the February incident and is in treatment for alcohol abuse. Baltimore County Circuit Judge Timothy Martin said he needed time to think about the case before sentencing Huff. As part of a plea agreement, prosecutors dropped charges of negligent driving and a headlight violation. Huff, 44, told Martin that his arrest has been difficult for him as a person in the public eye. He said he wanted to apologize to his family, colleagues and constituents.

The tryout dates for the 2013 Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic underclass tournament have been set, Under Armour, Inc., and Corrigan Sports Enterprises, Inc., announced Wednesday. Players who will graduate in 2014, 2015 or 2016 are eligible to participate in the open tryouts, which will be held around the country in May and June. The Under Armour All-America Lacrosse Classic underclass tournament is scheduled for July 5-7 at Towson University, with boys and girls teams from 10 different regions -- Baltimore, Washington, D.C., Long Island, upstate New York, Midwest, New England, New Jersey, Philadelphia, South, and West.

Harford County's top prosecutor said Wednesday that he does not have enough evidence to show that Alexander Kinyua is criminally responsible for killing a family friend and eating his organs last year. A state psychiatric hospital previously found that Kinyua, 22, was not criminally responsible for his actions in a separate assault case because he was suffering from severe psychosis. In the assault case, Kinyua has already been committed indefinitely, and a team of doctors and an administrative law judge would have to agree to his release.

To Navy coach Cindy Timchal, it was only fitting that senior Jasmine DePompeo broke the all-time Patriot League scoring record on Saturday with an assist. "It just comes from Jas very genuinely being an unselfish player," Timchal said.
