A story in yesterday's paper about retired federal Judge Norman P. Ramsey should have said Gov. William Donald Schaefer attended the University of Baltimore Law School.The Sun regrets the errors.When Norman P. Ramsey announced last year that he planned to leave the federal bench in Baltimore, he didn't envision a retirement filled with games of shuffleboard. He didn't intend to go back to work every day, either.Yet, Mr. Ramsey remains enmeshed in legal matters as he commands an office at Semmes, Bowen & Semmes, the law firm he left in 1980, after then-President Carter appointed him to a federal judgeship.

Annette H.C. Walsh, 77, preservationist activist Annette Hunt Cromwell Walsh, whose interests were her family and historic preservation, died Monday at Sinai Hospital as the result of a stroke. She was 77. Born Annette Hunt Cromwell in Ruxton, she was a 1945 graduate of Roland Park Country School and attended William & Mary College. She was a descendant of one of the brothers of Johns Hopkins. Mrs. Walsh lived in Garrison from the time of her marriage to Semmes G. "Buck" Walsh in 1952.

Evelyn M. Wieland, a retired administrative assistant and arts patron, died in her sleep Saturday at a nursing home in Princeton, N.J., She was 91. The former Homewood resident, who had lived in the Broadview Apartments from 1968 until last year, was born Evelyn Myerberg in Baltimore, the daughter of a shoemaker. Raised on Auchentoroly Terrace, across from Druid Hill Park, she was a 1928 graduate of Western High School. She studied economics at the Johns Hopkins University while taking business courses at Strayer Business College, from which she graduated in the early 1930s.

Guy Peter Fernandez, building operations manager for CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield and formerly an engineer on oil tankers, died of a heart attack Saturday at his Columbia home. He was 49. Born in Baltimore and raised in Arbutus, Mr. Fernandez was a 1973 graduate of Lansdowne High School and senior class president. He earned a degree in marine engineering from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point, N.Y. While at the academy, Mr. Fernandez was a platoon commander and played clarinet in the regimental band.

Marcia Semmes, 49, acknowledges that her little stone cottage in Mount Washington is quirky. But the house - with no symmetric floor plan - suits her love of color and her extensive collection of textiles and art. Transplanted Washingtonians, she and her husband, Clark Semmes, 46, took jobs in Baltimore four years ago and started house hunting soon after. "We looked for months," says Clark Semmes, a network administrator. "I thought she was mentally blocked." His wife notes that it took months to find the right fixer-upper in a city neighborhood of beautiful trees.

Thomas E. Cinnamond, a retired trial attorney and former chairman of the law firm of Semmes, Bowen & Semmes who specialized in railroad and industrial injury cases, died of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease Monday at Johns Hopkins Hospital. The longtime Homeland residentwas 85. Born in Baltimore and raised on East 30th Street, he was a 1939 graduate of Loyola HighSchool and earned a bachelor?s degree in business administration at Loyola College. He played varsity basketball and tennis in both schools.
