On October 26, 2005, ELIZABETH MARIE "Pete" SAPPINGTON (nee Fahey); beloved wife of Harry Sappington and devoted mother of Jeffrey Sappington and Lisa Lucas; loving grandmother of Ashely Copenhaver, Courtney Lucas, Cristin Sappington and the late Justin Sappington; sister of Theresa Fahey. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to call at the Burgee-Henss-Seitz Funeral Home, Inc., 3631 Falls Road on Thursday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 9:30 A.M. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 37th Street and Hickory Avenue.

John Wesley Sappington, a life insurance firm official and Windsor Hills community activist, died of complications from non-Hodgkins lymphoma Tuesday at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He was 55. Born in Baltimore and raised in Brooklyn Park, he was a 1971 graduate of Brooklyn Park High School. After working briefly at the old Montgomery Ward Co., he joined Baltimore Life Insurance Co. and remained with the firm for 37 years. He worked in computer programming, and at his death he was a supervisor in the company's finance department.

Loving son of William and Ethel Coates, dear brother of Laura Sappington and April Collins. Grandson of Walter and Betty Collins, Sr. Son-in-law of Patrick Murphy and Gemma Murphy, brother-in-law of Nelson Sappington and Arnold and Greg Krause. Uncle of Autumn and Matthew Sappington. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 15 at 11:00 AM at Pasadena Assembly of God Church. Fellowship and food will follow from 12 Noon to 2:00 PM.
