Because doing a full, 32-team list of power rankings is too much work for a Monday, I will rank only the top 11 teams in the NFL after each exciting football Sunday (that's where the "first and 10" comes in). Here's the balance of power heading into Monday night's Week 7 finale in Jacksonville: 1. Packers: Green Bay can run when needed. The Packers picked up three first downs to hold off the Vikings. 2. Saints: I know the Colts are sans Manning, but the Saints putting up 62 points on Sunday night was absurd.

I enjoyed writing the first four days of my Fantasy Fodder 2011 season preview. Today is not as exciting, though, because all that's left are the kickers and the defense-special teams combinations. You guys know by now that you shouldn't address these areas until the end of your draft, so let's get right to the rankings. (If you have a scorching question about Josh Scobee or if you absolutely need to know if the Browns' D/ST is worth a late-round flyer, shoot me a question on Twitter or leave it in the comments section.

Adam Gross surveys the grassy quadrangle, surrounded by brick walking paths trimmed in marble, nary a car in sight. "This is one of those seminal shots," he says, taking in the view of the Johns Hopkins University's Homewood campus. "This used to be all asphalt. " If Gross sounds like a proud papa, well, he is. Baltimore's most prestigious university looked a lot different — a lot junkier in Gross' view — before his firm, Ayers Saint Gross, got its hands on the master plan in 2001.

Aberdeen - Though his team came up one win short of a state baseball title, losing 4-0 to St. Michael's Saturday in the Class 1A championship game, Patterson Mill head coach Matt Roseland said he considered the Huskies' 2011 campaign a success, and that their appearance in this year's final was a sign of good things to come for the four-year-old program. "I told the guys before Saturday's game, 'we said at the beginning of the season that our goals were to win the [UCBAC's] Susquehanna Division, and to win the [1A North]

Every time I put out one of my mock drafts, readers tell me they think things would play out differently (chances are we'll both end up being wrong). Well, now you get a chance to play GM in my first-ever reader NFL mock draft. Here's how it works. I'll post a daily poll where you can vote to decide what the team that's on the clock should do with its pick. To keep it simple, I'll give you five options for each pick. If you think I missed somebody, let me know in the comments section.

The first quarter of Tuesday's boys lacrosse showdown between No. 3 St. Mary's and No. 2 McDonogh summed up the entire game. While the visiting Saints hit the post on two early shots, misfired on two more and had another chance turned aside by McDonogh's senior goalie Ben Falcone, the Eagles precisely finished off their first four scoring opportunities. With senior Connor Morgan leading a balanced attack with four goals, and the Falcone-led defense blanking the Saints until the closing minutes of the third quarter, McDonogh rolled to a surprisingly comfortable 11-6 win over the Saints in Owings Mills.

Should the St. Paul's boys lacrosse team go on to enjoy the same success as a year ago, the No. 5 Crusaders will look back to Tuesday's fourth quarter at St. Mary's as a season-changing turn. Mired in a two-game losing streak and up against the newly No.1 ranked Saints, the defending Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference champions showed grit and poise in the decisive moments. Senior attackman Jay Carlson scored with 6:32 to play — it was the fourth quarter's only goal — and senior goalie Gunnar Waldt (12 saves)

With 1:07 left in the first overtime, Wells Stanwick of top-ranked Boys' Latin had an open look just a few feet from the goal, but St. Mary's goalie Skyler Morse lunged to make a game-saving stop. It was just one of several big plays in the Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland A conference matchup. The No. 6 Saints continued their early season surge as Nate Lewnes got the winner with 1:16 left in the second overtime for a 13-12 victory in Annapolis. "That save was just incredible," Lewnes said.

After giving his team a six-goal lead against Gilman late in the third quarter, St. Mary's midfielder Spencer Coyle ran off the field and declared, "That's all day — they're not sliding. " The sixth-ranked Saints had No. 3 Gilman figured out for much of the key Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association A Conference game and ran away for an 11-7 victory in Roland Park. St, Mary's improved to 6-0 overall and 2-0 in the conference, setting up a big showdown with top-ranked Boys' Latin on Friday.
