Remember back when this season of American Idol was being trimmed from 24 to 12 and maintaining its male-female ratio how unfair it seemed? The women were clearly so much stronger than the men, but the Top 12 had to include six of each. So how is it that with nearly half the field gone, there are more guys left? It seemed crazy that Phil Stacey (not to mention Sanjaya Malakar) made it to the finals when Sabrina Sloane didn't. And now Stacey and Malakar have outlasted Stephanie Edwards and Gina Glocksen.

It is a scenario that draws measures of compassion and cynicism: A child is reported missing. The parents appear tearfully on television. Friends and strangers rally to search, distribute posters and support the couple -- even as the parents become suspects. Yesterday Steven and Marlene Aisenberg of Bethesda were arraigned in federal court in Greenbelt on charges they fabricated the story that their 5-month-old daughter Sabrina was kidnapped two years ago. Assistant U.S. Attorney Rachelle Des Vaux Bedke told a judge: "The baby is in fact dead.

We start out this episode back at camp after Tribal Council, where the rest of Tikiano is as amused by Kat finding blindsides “fun and exciting” as I was. Tarzan is trying to hang on, and trying to maneuver himself into a final three scenario; I would say he had no chance, but I also didn't think he'd make it this long. Kim knows her best chance to win would be to take Alicia and Christina to the final three, but that would mean betraying Chelsea, who has been her loyal ally from the start.

To passersby, the startling noises spilling from Laurel Mill Playhouse during its current run of Sarah Ruhl's "In the Next Room (or the Vibrator Play)" may seem curious even for the lively little theater on Main Street. The first of Ruhl's plays to open on Broadway, "In the Next Room" debuted at the Lyceum Theatre in Manhattan a mere two years ago, earning a Tony nomination for Best Play in 2010. The show was also selected as a finalist for the 2010 Pulitzer Prize. Directed here by Michael Hartsfield, the adult comedy revolves around a Victorian doctor who treats female "hysteria" by using an electrical instrument to "relieve the congestion" in their wombs.
