Roslyn Brown joins Abrakadoodle Roslyn Brown of Kings Contrivance has joined the franchise network of Abrakadoodle, an art education program for children ages 2 to 12. Most recently director of application development for Sylvan Learning Centers in Baltimore, Brown will offer classes at Amherst House in Kings Contrivance, the Meeting Room in River Hill Village Center and in North Laurel and elsewhere. She plans to donate a monthly Abrakadoodle class to residents at Grassroots Crisis Intervention Center in Columbia.

City police yesterday were looking for a suspect and motive in the shooting death late Friday of a 40-year-old man as he sat in his vehicle in the 4500 block of Homer Ave. in Northwest Baltimore.Police said Larry Dabney, of the 2300 block of Roslyn Ave., was found slumped in the seat of his white Chevrolet Blazer about 11: 30 p.m. He was taken to Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.Police officers patrolling nearby heard shots fired and sped to the scene, but the assailant had fled, police said.
