Aberdeen Students and staff at George D. Lisby Elementary School at Hillsdale were evacuated from the school Monday afternoon after a dishwasher overheated. The dishwasher in the kitchen of the Aberdeen school sustained fire damage, but it was contained to the machine, according to Teri Kranefeld, manager of communications for Harford County Public Schools. The students and staff were able to get out of the building safely and then returned once fire officials determined it was safe.

Harford Sheriff's office and Maryland State Police report: Aberdeen Erdly Herbert McDowell, 53, of the first block of Roosevelt Avenue, was charged Tuesday with possessing marijuana and paraphernalia. Amy Joy Warthen, 27, of the 1900 block of Fletcher Road, was arrested on five warrants Thursday in cases in which she was charged with second-degree escape, conspiracy to distribute narcotics, attempted possession of a drug other than marijuana, conspiracy to deliver drugs in confinement, trespassing, attempted drug possession while in confinement and two counts of obtaining drugs by fraud.

Aberdeen Donald F. Kunesch, 28, of the 500 block of South Law Street, was charged Friday with being a fugitive from Massachusetts justice. Anthony D. Stanley, 54, of the first block of Osborn Road, was charged Friday with failing to appear in court for a case in which he was charged with loitering. Gary Osborne, 24, of the 400 block of Ruby Drive, was charged Friday with failing to appear in court for a case in which he was charged with possessing marijuana. Christopher Thomas Smith, 35, of the first block of Forest Green Road, was charged Saturday with second-degree assault.

Aberdeen Linwood O. Burke, 47, of the 400 block of Chestnut Street, was charged Tuesday with obstructing and hindering police and second-degree assault. Sara Montgomery, 30, of the 300 block of North Philadelphia Boulevard, was charged Tuesday with fourth-degree burglary, trespassing and theft between $1,000 and $10,000. Teon Lamar Edwards, 29, of the 300 block of Oxford Avenue, was charged Wednesday with distributing drugs and possessing marijuana. Fruit trees were vandalized with chemicals Sunday in the 3400 block of Nova Scotia Road.

Eric Douglas Nelson, 34, of the 300 block of Paradise Road, was charged Tuesday with obtaining a prescription by altering an order and possessing a forged prescription. Brandon Marquez Robinson, 25, of the 900 block of Cambridge Road, was arrested on a bench warrant Wednesday in a case in which he was charged with driving with a suspended license.

Leonard C. Hall, 30, of the 100 block of West Aztec Street, was charged on an arrest warrant Thursday with first-, third- and fourth-degree burglary, trespassing, theft less than $100, vandalism and failure to comply with a peace order.
