Quote: "I want to stay here. If they trade me, it means they don't want me here. I'll go wherever I'm wanted. I've changed from one country to another. It would be easy to change from one state to another." -- Rolando Arrojo, Devil Rays starter, who was scouted by four teams yesterday. It's a fact: The Tigers have scored 73 runs in 11 games since the All-Star break, yet they are just 6-5 over that span.Who's hot: The Blue Jays' Shannon Stewart has hit safely in 15 of his past 17 games (.387)

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Channel surfing past Jerry Springer, Real TV and other oddities yesterday afternoon, Orioles manager Ray Miller wished for something equally bizarre, a working lead for Mike Mussina.Wish granted. For a pitcher with seemingly everything, including a five-pitch assortment, Mussina had lacked run support in two previous August appearances. The result was three consecutive starts ending in losses, something unprecedented in a high-percentage nine-year career encompassing 247 starts.

Another start, another opponent and another typical night for Mike Mussina and his season-long novelty act.The same guy who has mesmerized Camden Yards this season with a ruptured wart on his right index finger, a complete game pitched without throwing from the stretch, a near perfect game and a horrific line drive to the head did it again. He gave his outfield seven innings off against the Tampa Bay Devil Rays as the Orioles broke a four-game home losing streak to the expansioneers with a 6-4 win."
