Banksy's Cafe has closed in Lake Falls Village. Owners Robb Banks and Will Brown will be focusing on their catering operations, which they had been running out of the same location. The cafe, which opened in 2009, served made-to-order sandwiches and salads, roasted coffee from Baltimore Coffee & Tea, and local sweets like Naron chocolates and Mouth Party caramels. The cafe also had a presence at the Baltimore Farmers' Market and Bazaar, where it would sell prepared soups and macaroni and cheese.

The word was tristeza. It's a disease of citrus trees, but more importantly, for Tobey Roland, it once scored 228 points for him in a game of Scrabble, he said. Roland, 52, of Mount Washington, loves Scrabble and estimates he has played in 120 tournaments, winning eight to 10, since he started playing competitively in 2005. "It's fun and challenging," said Roland, an independent financial investor. "It's really more about probabilities, using premium spots and letters and getting bonuses by using seven-letter words.

Mary Bryan Owen made her high school golf debut last season and won the Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland championship by 12 strokes. Her four-over-par 76 at Fox Hollow Golf Course helped the Reds win their sixth straight team title. One match into her sophomore year, the 16-year-old remains undefeated in high school golf. Since it's an odd-numbered year, it must be Severn's turn to win the annual girls lacrosse showdown with neighborhood rival Severna Park. Over the past six years, Severn has won in the odd-numbered years and the Falcons in the even ones. However, the Admirals' defense had more to do with their 11-6 win Thursday night at the Anne Arundel Community College Tournament than the date did. In the battle for local bragging rights, the No. 12 Admirals (3-2) kept Severna Park's offense from sustaining any rhythm after the No. 8 Falcons rallied from two goals down to tie midway through the first half.

Where are the Berger Cookies? They're not at Eddie's of Roland Park, where the fudge-topped icons have been missing for at least a week and a half. And they're not even at the Berger bakery stall at Lexington Market. A message on Berger's website and outgoing voicemail says the company is temporarily closed because of an illness in the family. The last shipment received at Eddie's Market of Charles Village, according to owner Jerry Gordon, was on Jan. 31, the Thursday before the Super Bowl.
