Robert Davis Beckey, a popular Towson University mathematics professor who was also an accomplished woodworker, died Sunday of heart failure at Greater Baltimore Medical Center. The Lutherville resident was 84. Mr. Beckey was born and raised in Milton, Pa., and moved with his family to Buffalo, N.Y., where he graduated from high school in 1943. He served in the Navy as an instructor at its Oceanside, Calif., radio school from 1944 until being discharged in 1946, with the rank of radioman third class.

Robert Reed Davis, a financial planner who had worked for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Maryland, died of pancreatic cancer yesterday at his Lutherville home. He was 56. Mr. Davis was born in Baltimore and raised in Rodgers Forge. He was a 1964 graduate of St. Paul's School, where he was a first team All-Maryland lacrosse player. While studying at Brown University in Providence, R.I., he continued playing lacrosse and was an All-American in the sport. After earning his bachelor's degree in 1968, he studied psychology at Loyola College.

The Rev. Robert Nelson Davis, an Episcopal priest and interim rector of a West Baltimore congregation, died Saturday of heart failure at St. Joseph Medical Center. He was 79 and lived in Guilford. He was interim pastor at St. Katherine of Alexandria Church, Presstman and Division streets, and earlier at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church in Essex. He was a member of the Episcopal Diocese's Commission on Ministry and helped run a program called Finding Our Way for persons interested in becoming priests.

Robert Colin Davis, a retired buyer for a Beltsville aerospace contractor and sports fan, died of cancer Feb. 23 at his Columbia home. He was 67. Mr. Davis was born in Washington and raised in Lexington Park. After graduating from Great Mills High School in 1958, he joined the Army and served two years in the Supply Corps. Until retiring last month on a medical disability, he had worked for Orbital Sciences Corp. for 15 years. Earlier, he had been a buyer for Pfizer Inc. and Atlantic Research Corp.

Robert Lee Davis Sr., a retired Chestertown real estate broker and former Kent County commissioner, died Monday at the Chester River Manor nursing home of progressive supernuclear palsy, a rare disorder. The Chestertown resident was 82. Born in Kent County's Broad Neck, he was a 1940 graduate of Chestertown High School and later that year enlisted in the Army Air Corps. He served through World War II. Returning to Chestertown in 1945, he purchased the Tydol gas station on Maple Avenue, which he operated until 1970.
