A man and woman have been charged by Howard County police in connection with last week's robbery of a gas station employee in Woodbine. Kyle Benjamin Shields, 23, of the 15900 block of Old Frederick Road and Brandi Dawn Sexton, 22, of the 3900 block of Woodbine Road were both charged with robbery, assault, and theft. An employee of a BP gas station in the 15800 block of Frederick Road, reported that a man and woman assaulted him Oct. 13 and stole a bank bag, cash, his credit cards and the keys to his car, which they then used to flee the scene.

An 18-year-old Glen Burnie man was hospitalized with multiple stab wounds incurred during a robbery Thursday evening. The victim told police he was walking from his home near the intersection of Elvaton Road and Klagg Court at about 9 p.m. Two men, one armed with a knife, surrounded him and demanded money, police said. The victim turned over an undisclosed amount of cash and was stabbed several times. The victim is being treated at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. Anne Arundel police responded Saturday night to a Holiday Inn Express hotel in Annapolis for a report of an armed robbery. At about 8 p.m., officers from the southern district arrived at the hotel, at 2451 Riva Road, and were told that a man in his late twenties or early thirties had entered the hotel, displayed a handgun and demanded money from the clerk, police said. The clerk gave the money to the man, who then fled, police said. Police said that county officers and an Annapolis City K-9 unit searched the area but were unable to find the suspect.

A man was stabbed about 10 p.m. Sunday during an attempted robbery in the 6800 block of Broening Highway in Dundalk, according to Baltimore County police. The victim was taken to Johns Hopkins Bayview Hospital for treatment, but his name and condition were not available. Police said there was no suspect at this time. Police were seeking information from residents. A 26-year-old Brooklyn man has been arrested with impersonating a police officer in a robbery of a man in Fells Point earlier this month, according to police records.  Police say Joshua Brake, of the 200 block of W. A 23-year-old man was shot in the foot while running from robbers in Baltimore over the weekend, police said. The victim said he was walking in the 700 block of W. Ostend Street with two others around 2 a.m. Saturday when three people tried to rob them, according to Detective Jeremy Silbert, a spokesman for the Baltimore Police Department. As the man fled, he was shot in the foot, Silbert said Sunday. The man later went to Johns Hopkins Hospital for treatment, and at that point officers were called in. jamie.

The recent robbery of two women at the Roland Park Shopping Center created a media stir. Although I have lived in Roland Park most of my life, I am always surprised by how some occurrences that go with little mention in other neighborhoods create citywide attention if they happen in Roland Park.   Not that a robbery of two city restaurant-goers, one a senior citizen, should go unnoticed. If all robberies received the attention of the recent one in Roland Park, perhaps more criminals would be caught.

Baltimore County Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a woman involved in the April robbery of a 7-Eleven store in Catonsville. Police say the woman attempted to rob a cashier of the convenience store in the 1100 block of Ingleside Avenue at 4:20 a.m. Thursday, April 21. After entering the store, the woman displayed a handgun and demanded money before fleeing on foot when a customer arrived, according to a release. Nothing was stolen, according to a release from county police.

Towson University police were searching for two men who robbed students at gunpoint in their dorm room Monday afternoon. According to a campus crime alert, police said two students were in their dorm room in Glen Tower B, a co-ed residence hall, about 3:30 p.m. when they responded to a knock at the door and two men forced their way inside. During the incident, one of the victims was struck with a metal crow bar and suffered a minor injury in the forehead. Police said "personal property and other items of value" were taken during the robbery.

The FBI is going to lead the investigation into the shooting of a customer during a robbery of Royal Farms convenience store in Northeast Baltimore Tuesday night. Police said a $2,500 reward is being offered in the case. New information from police : Authorities said the gunman demanded the customer's wallet and shot him as he reached to get it. Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi said that the FBI's Violent Crime Task Force, which includes members of the city force, will take over the case.
