Baltimore police and federal drug agents today began rounding up 34 drug suspects in a bid to wipe out East Baltimore's "Billy Guy" drug organization. The ring is believed to be responsible for $4 million in heroin and cocaine sales annually in East Baltimore. Officials said three suspects named in grand jury indictments also have been charged with murder and two with assault with intent to murder. One suspect was arrested with 1,594 bags of heroin and 2,473 vials of cocaine, police said.

WWE returns to 1st Mariner Arena on Sunday night for WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs. The main bout of the pay-per-view event — which starts at 7:45 p.m. — is a Triple Threat Tables, Ladders & Chairs Match featuring CM Punk, The Miz and Alberto Del Rio. Triple H also returns to the ring in Baltimore for the first time in two years for a showdown with Kevin Nash. An Anne Arundel County grand jury indicted nine people yesterday, including two brothers and their mother, on charges of conspiring to operate a drug ring.State's Attorney Frank R. Weathersbee said that Steven E. Downey, 20, of the 6400 block of Golden Oak Road, Linthicum, was at the center of the ring, which distributed marijuana in Anne Arundel, Howard and Baltimore counties.Mr. Downey, who was arrested in October, was being held without bail yesterday. He was indicted on three counts of operating as a drug kingpin.

Baltimore County police were alerting area pawnshops yesterday to be on the lookout for the 1958 NFL championship ring belonging to former Colt defensive back Andy Nelson.Nelson, 63, a trucking company executive, and his wife, Betty, discovered that the ring was missing from their Glen Arm residence about 11 a.m. Sunday. They estimated the ring's value at $10,000.Police said that the Nelsons' home was burglarized between Feb. 17 and Sunday, and that $300 worth of other jewelry also was stolen.

An Annapolis man was sentenced to eight years in prison with no parole yesterday for his role in a coast-to-coast drug ring linked to a November 1988 drug bust at Baltimore-Washington International Airport.James Forrester, 21, of the 600 block of Green Briar Lane was sentenced to 97 months in prison for his role in a Los Angeles-to-Annapolis drug ring headed locally by Troy Donyel Stansbury, said Harvey E. Eisenberg, an assistant U.S. Attorney who heads the federal regional drug task force.
