A Reisterstown home that sold in September for $1.25 million stood out because of its large, wooded lot. "Most of the properties in the area are on one acre or a portion of an acre," said Susan Hartman, the agent who sold the 10-year-old property. Hartman is with O'Conor & Mooney Realtors in Lutherville and sells residences across the state, she said. But this five-bedroom home sits on a piece of land that is nearly 22 acres, making it one of the largest lots in the Beaverbrook subdivision.

Baltimore County police have discovered a man's body in a wooded area near where the remains of a human hand were found several days earlier, police said. Detectives, with the help of volunteers, located the unidentified body around 11:30 a.m. Saturday near Hanover Pike and Butler Road, said Lt. Robert McCullough. He said police believe the body and hand are the same person, "but additional testing is being done" and police are continuing their investigation. Police returned to the area near the 300 block of Hedgepocket Way in the Reisterstown area, where a landscaper found the hand on a lawn on Wednesday, to conduct the search, after the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner identified the hand as human, he said.

The bones of a human hand and part of a lower arm were found in a residential neighborhood in Reisterstown on Wednesday by a landscaper, Baltimore County police announced Thursday. The hand "appeared on the lawn" of a home in the 300 block of Hedgepocket Way as the man was doing work at the home, said Cpl. Cathy Batton, a police spokeswoman. The landscaper contacted police, who searched the area but did not locate any more remains, Batton said. "We treat everything as a crime scene just in case it turns out to be one, but there's nothing at this point to indicate to us that this was a murder victim's hand," Batton said.

When you enter a Soldierfit class, you become a member of the armed forces - even if just for an hour. The military-inspired class takes members through a circuit of exercises that may include running with a weighted pack on your shoulders, much as soldiers do in combat. Or you may be crawling across the floor, keeping as low to the ground as possible to avoid being shot in the buns by an imaginary stray bullet. Your instructor may even shout HOOOOOAAAAH! to get you motivated. Soldierfit is the brainchild of - you guessed it - two former military buddies and their friend.
