Baltimore County police are searching for a 15-year-old from Reisterstown who has been missing for nearly two months. Sasha Arianna Samlal, of the unit block of Gloucester Court, was reported missing Sept. 21. She was last seen getting into a small black Honda with tinted windows, with a white sticker on the windshield. A Hispanic male was driving. She is described as an Indian female with long black hair, brown eyes and a medium complexion. She is 5 feet 5 and weighs 140 pounds.

Baltimore County police have discovered a man's body in a wooded area near where the remains of a human hand were found several days earlier, police said. Detectives, with the help of volunteers, located the unidentified body around 11:30 a.m. Saturday near Hanover Pike and Butler Road, said Lt. Robert McCullough. He said police believe the body and hand are the same person, "but additional testing is being done" and police are continuing their investigation. Police returned to the area near the 300 block of Hedgepocket Way in the Reisterstown area, where a landscaper found the hand on a lawn on Wednesday, to conduct the search, after the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner identified the hand as human, he said.

A 35-year-old Carroll County man was killed late Thursday when his pickup truck ran off the road in the Reisterstown area and flipped over, Baltimore County police said.Howard William Izzett of the 5300 block of Wendy Road, Eldersburg, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, said E. Jay Miller, a police spokesman.Mr. Miller said the victim was driving a 1990 GMC pickup truck westbound on Church Road near Sunnydale Way at a high speed.The victim lost control of the truck, which ran off the left side of the road and flipped over, according to police.

A Reisterstown man suffered severe burns to his back and legs yesterday after he was shocked at a Baltimore Gas and Electric substation while deer hunting in Owings Mills, authorities said.Jim Byers, 34, of the 700 block of Main St., who was bow-hunting, had climbed an electrical tower near Owings Mills Boulevard and Crondall Lane shortly before 5 p.m. when he was hit by 110,000 volts of electricity.Byers was being treated last night at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center burn unit.Pub Date: 10/06/96

Investigators continued the search for the cause of a four-alarm blaze at a Reisterstown senior citizens apartment complex Monday that injured four people and displaced 70, Baltimore County fire officials said yesterday. Seven families were moved to hotels, said Laura Dennis, communications manager for the Central Maryland Chapter of the American Red Cross, adding that it is unknown how long they will have to remain there. About 8 a.m. Monday, firefighters responded to the blaze at the Meadows at Reisterstown in the 300 block of Cantata Court.

A 28-year-old woman who grew up in Reisterstown was killed in Erie, Pa., along with two of her children, authorities there said Monday. The killer was identified by police as the children's father, who also wounded his 2-year-old son before committing suicide. The Erie County coroner gave the shooter's name as Brian Dacus, 29. He had been in a relationship with the woman, Jamie Dianne Malanowski, for nine years, according to a posting on her Facebook page. She wrote that she had left him on Nov. 6, a week before she died.

Baltimore County police identified on Monday the 80-year-old Reisterstown woman who was killed over the weekend after flames engulfed her bedroom. Police said Carolyn H. Conrad died in her home at the 400 block of Main Street Saturday afternoon. Firefighters were called around 4 p.m., where they found smoke was showing from a back bedroom. It took 40 firefighters about 20 minutes to control the single alarm blaze. Arson investigators say the fire was accidental but they are still investigating its cause and origin.

A Mass of Christian burial for Margaret S. Moore, a native of Reisterstown, will be offered at 10 a.m. tomorrow at SS. Philip and James Roman Catholic Church, 2801 N. Charles St.Mrs. Moore, who was 77 and lived in the Tudor Arms Apartments, died Wednesday of pneumonia at Union Memorial Hospital.The former Margaret Slade attended Franklin High School and the Hannah More Academy before graduating from St. Joseph's Academy in Emmitsburg.Her husband, James J. Moore, died in 1974.She is survived by a sister, Elizabeth Cockey of Ruxton; a brother, Harry M. Slade of Ellicott City; and four nephews and six nieces.

An 80-year-old Brooklandville man was killed, and his wife and another woman were injured yesterday morning when the car he was driving and another vehicle collided at an intersection in Reisterstown, Baltimore County police reported.James Leon Haines of the first block of Trelawny Court was killed in the 8: 20 a.m. accident at Brian Daniel Court and Westminster Pike. His wife, Angela Haines, 74, was in serious condition at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center. The other driver, Carla Akins, 32, whose address was not divulged, was in stable condition at Carroll County General Hospital.
