On October 28, 2005 ROBERT R., devoted father of Jay R. Redmond and his wife Sharon, dear brother of John Redmond, loving grandfather of Brooke, Brandon and Tyler Redmond. A Memorial service will be held at Gonce Funeral Service P.A., 4001 Ritchie Hwy, on Saturday November 5, 2005 at 2 P.M.

The Orioles have lost right-hander Todd Redmond, who was on the team's 40-man roster, on waivers as he was claimed by the Toronto Blue Jays, according to an industry source. Redmond allowed five earned runs and eight hits with eight strikeouts and four walks in eight Grapefruit League innings before he was optioned to Triple-A Norfolk on Saturday. The 27-year-old Redmond was claimed off waivers by the Orioles on Feb. 8 from the Reds. He made his major league debut with Cincinnati last season - making his first and only big league start - on Aug. 18 in the nightcap of a doubleheader.

Public records show that employees of Anne Arundel County Executive John R. Leopold improperly accessed databases to gather information on at least three people on an "enemies" list, the American Civil Liberties Union of Maryland said Tuesday. One of the so-called enemies was Lewis Bracy, a recently retired National Security Agency police officer and community activist who has not previously been associated with Leopold's alleged dossiers, according to the ACLU, which obtained the records through a public information request to the state.

JOYCE ANNE REDMOND, 92, formerly of Ellicott City, Maryland, died 19 March, 2006 at the Hunterdon Care Center in Flemington, New Jersey. Born June 23, 1913 in Chicopee, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Gabryela Nowak. She had been the wife of John A. Redmond, II for 59 years. He predeceased her on September 17, 1998. From 1939 until 1998, her role was that of housewife, mother and homemaker. She and John successfully raised two children and enjoyed the companionship of many relatives and friends.
