On Wednesday, June 21, 2007 in Oceanside, California at age 93. Daughter of the late Robert Hardy and the late Annie B. Vaughan. Rebecca was born in Dinwiddie County, Virginia and resided in Petersburg, Virginia until her move to Baltimore, Maryland in 1941. Rebecca moved to Oceanside in 1993. She was baptized at early age. For several years Rebeccca was a foster grandparent. She loved volunteering to assist others. She enjoyed gardening and could worked miracles with plants. She loved socializing and dining out. Rebecca is survived by her loving daughter, Alberta Earnestine Thomas, devoted son, Payton C. Johnson, step-daughter, Felicia Johnson and brother, William H. Vaughn (Bernice)
