Carriage House Lane,  9100 block, 1:11 a.m. Jan. 28. Entry gained to residence via garage. Keys and cash stolen. Suspect in home when police arrived. Antwane Dominique Holland, 32, of Macbeth Street in Hyattsville, charged with first-, third- and fourth-degree burglary; theft; resisting arrest; and endangerment due to intoxication.  East Columbia Kerry Hill Court, 7300 block, 9:18 p.m. Jan. 26. Man stole woman's purse and fled.

The Valencia Motel in the 10100 block of Washington Blvd. was robbed early Saturday by a man who kicked in the rear office door, Howard County police said.The robber demanded money from the clerk behind the counter about 1 a.m., police said, and took $180 from the drawer.A police report said the clerk activated an alarm after the man fled through the rear door.The robber was wearing a black jogging suit and a ski mask.Pub Date: 12/24/96

Phelps Luck Drive, 5300 block, between 6 p.m. Jan. 18 and 9:55 a.m. Jan. 19. Entry gained to Grandfather's Garden Center by prying lock on rear door.

Two men, one with a 9 mm handgun, robbed an Annapolis sporting goods store Wednesday, then ordered a clerk to open a back door for their escape, county police said.The men walked into the Foot Locker in Harbor Center on Solomon's Island Road south of the city about 8: 30 p.m. and browsed through the sweat shirts.One went to the cashier and demanded money while the other showed the handle of the gun tucked into his waistband, police said.The men took money, then forced the clerk to open a rear door, through which they fled, police said.
