READING, Pa. -- The Hagerstown Suns used a four-run second inning to jump ahead and held on for a 9-8 win over the Reading Phillies last night in a Double-A Eastern League game.

HAGERSTOWN -- The Hagerstown Suns walked 10, aiding the Reading Phillies to a 7-4 victory in a Double-A Eastern League game yesterday.John Escbar, Tony Trevino and Tom Nuneviller each had two hits for Reading (11-14). Mark Carper was the loser for Hagerstown (11-17), walking six and allowing five runs and five hits in three innings. Mark Smith went 4-for-5 for the Suns with two RBI, and Manny Alexander was 3-for-4.

HAGERSTOWN -- Baltimore Orioles first baseman Glenn Davis hit his first rehabilitation-assignment home run to lead the Hagerstown Suns to a 2-0 victory over the Reading Phillies in a Class AA Eastern League game Friday night.Mike Linskey (5-4) allowed five hits and two walks in eight innings for the win. Jeff Williams got his 15th save.Paul Fletcher (5-9) took the loss, giving up two runs and three hits in eight innings.
