POLICE LOG* North Laurel: 9200 block of Traders Crossing: A television, change and jewelry were stolen after someone kicked open a home's front door Friday and ransacked the place, police said.

Harlem Park Middle School in West Baltimore was ransacked over the weekend, forcing the school to stay closed yesterday. It is expected to reopen today. Someone entered the school between Saturday and yesterday morning and ransacked 21 classrooms and administrative offices. The vandals broke windows in doors to gain access to locked classrooms, leaving shattered glass on the floor, a school spokeswoman said. School officials discovered the vandalism at 6 a.m. yesterday and decided to close the school for the day to investigate the break-in as well as clean and make repairs.

POLICE LOG* Annapolis Junction: 10900 block of Pump House Road: Burglars cut wires to disable an alarm, entered two businesses through a window, pried and kicked open doors, ransacked desks and took an undisclosed amount of cash Thursday or early Friday, police said.
