On Thursday, June 18, 2005, ELLEN WISSMANN (nee Glanville), 87, of Florissant, Missouri, went peacefully to be with her Lord. She was formerly from Randallstown, Maryland. She was a homemaker and wife who devoted herself to her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, John, in 1987. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Bonnie and Morris Turner, and sons Ron Wissmann and Wayne Wissmann and sisters Nellie Creel, Ramona Powell and Pearl Brewer, and brothers Clayton, Clarence, Doug and Charles Granville.

Cross; sister of John, Paul, James, Robert, Betty and Nancy; grandmother of seven; great-grandmother of two. A Memorial service will be held at the Pritts Funeral Home and Chapel, 412 Washington Road, Westminster, on Tuesday, January 11 at 11 A.M. Please use the Chapel entrance. Interment will be private. At 3 a.m. last Monday, filmmaker Ramona Diaz, asleep in her Baltimore home, received what she terms "a friendly call from 'a friend'" of Imelda Marcos. The former first lady of the Philippines was willing to make a deal, the caller said: If Diaz agreed not to call her documentary about the widow of dictator Ferdinand Marcos a "documentary," she would drop her effort to block its release in the Philippines. Almost simultaneously, though, a Philippine court threw out the request for the ban because Marcos had given permission in 1996 for the film's release.

RAMONA E. SCHIMMINGER (nee Davy) passed away early Tuesday morning, March 9, 2004 at the age of 74. Loving mother of Rosemary Hoke, Jeanne Williams, Charles and David Schimminger, Bonnie Collins and Wanda and the late Patricia Schimminger; devoted aunt of Gene Davy; also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held at the HUBBARD FUNERAL HOME, INC., 4107 Wilkens Avenue on Thursday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M. and where Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 9:45 A.M. Interment in Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Crownsville.
