Friday's editions included a Q&A with North Carolina senior attackman Marcus Holman, a Baltimore native and Gilman graduate. Due to space constraints, here are some more answers that didn't make the cut: Who is the best teammate you've played with? I would have to say that [senior midfielder] Davey Emala is a great teammate. He's a guy that just likes to take care of business. He comes to work every day. I would also have to say that [sophomore attackman] Joey Sankey - in the two years that I've played with him - is another guy that you can always count on to make the right play and you can always count on him going 100 percent.

Friday's edition of the paper included a Q&A with Maryland redshirt junior goalkeeper Niko Amato. Due to space constraints, here are some more answers that didn't make the cut. UMBC coach Don Zimmerman said one of the more potent aspects of your game involves your ability to turn a save into a transition chance. Is that a facet of your game that you've been honing? I think that's always been a part of my game. I like to throw the ball a lot. It's fun when you start transition.

Need a rug? We have it covered We just redesigned our home and we need help finding a rug that fits our new living room space, but we don't know what size or orientation would work best. What are your suggestions? Finding that perfectly sized rug can sometimes be a challenge. My first thought would be a custom rug that would allow you to control the size, shape, and pattern/design of the rug. However, this is not always cost-effective. So I would suggest an Oriental rug or a reproduction.

Each week, The Sun will publish a Q&A with an area college lacrosse player to get you more acquainted with the player and his or her team. Today's guest is Dave Brown, a sophomore midfielder for UMBC. Question: You registered four goals and three assists in the team's season-opening 16-10 win against Presbyterian on Saturday. Is that what you anticipated doing? Answer: No, I had no idea that was going to happen. I really just went out and played and let the game kind of come to me. It just so happened that I was in the right place at the right time, and I was just lucky enough to put my shots in the back of the net and make the right plays.

Maryland women's basketball coach Brenda Frese is entering her ninth season in College Park, and it might be the most challenging season of her stellar career. The No. 21 Terps will open their season Saturday night against Monmouth with a team so young that it does not include a single senior and a coach who has just been given the ultimate perspective check. Frese and her husband, Mark Thomas, learned just weeks ago that one of their 2-year old twins, Tyler, has leukemia. Tyler has responded well to treatment and the outlook is positive, but Frese suddenly has a great deal more on her mind than she did when the Terps were headed to their first NCAA title in 2006.

Today's guest is Katie Gallagher, a senior defender for No. 1 Maryland, the 2010 Division I national champion. QUESTION: Why did you redshirt last season? ANSWER: I redshirted because I got diagnosed with Crohn's in the fall (2009), so I missed the fall and I decided to come back in the spring. I was feeling 100 percent and I played in the first two games and I ended up with steroid myopathy from the [medication]
