Deputies from the state fire marshal's office received a call shortly before 5 a.m. Sunday that a vehicle was on fire. They arrived to find a Nissan Ultima, valued at $10,000, destroyed by fire. East Columbia Cradlerock Way: 7200 block, Owen Brown. After making a purchase, an unidentified man at Giant Food grabbed money from the register Saturday and fled.

POLICE LOG* Annapolis :A pickpocket stole a wallet containing $900 in cash from a shopper about 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Kmart store in Parole Plaza. Carole McCeann, 46, of Annapolis, told police her purse was stolen after she set it down. Police found the purse in the store, but the wallet was gone.

Westminster police searched for three juveniles after a home in the first block of Monroe St. was broken into and a purse was stolen about 1 p.m. yesterday.Officers said the occupant of the brick house saw the three and gave police a description of them.Officers searched the area but were unable to find the youths, who fled through a nearby alley.Police said the woman was not injured in the burglary and that the purse was not recovered. The three three entered through a basement door and searched the house.
