Kristine and Dan Trader Glen and Katherine Stone, of Parkville, announce the marriage of their daughter, Kristine Stone, to Dan Trader, son of Miriam and Hugh Trader III, of Baltimore. The bride earned a bachelor's degree in human services from Stevenson University. The groom earned a bachelor's degree in digital art and design from Towson University. The ceremony was held at Turf Valley Country Club. The bride's uncle, Pastor Jeff Wilson, of Roanoke, Va., officiated.

Jaime Arbona, former customs agent for the ports of entry to Baltimore, died of Alzheimer's disease complications Oct. 20 at his Cedarcroft home. He was 88. Born in Utuado, Puerto Rico, where he attended the University of Puerto Rico, he served in the Army Corps of Engineers during World War II. He was stationed in Honolulu. He moved to Baltimore in 1945 and studied at the Johns Hopkins University. He taught Spanish at the Berlitz School and in the Baltimore County public schools system.

Dolores M. "Doe" Nolan, a former developer and avid gardener who was a passenger in 1963 on a plane that crashed soon after she disembarked, died Wednesday from pneumonia and coronary fibrosis at Greater Baltimore Medical Center. She was 79 and lived at Mercy Ridge retirement community in Lutherville. Dolores M. Chiaruttini, the daughter of a baker and a farmer, was born in Baltimore and spent her early years in Govans, where her parents owned and operated Jordan's Bakery.

J eff Brauner of Baltimore likes the name Hortense but hasn't heard of a Hurricane Hortense in a while. He wonders what became of the name. Alas, it was retired after flooding from a Hurricane Hortense in 1996 caused 39 deaths and $217 million in damage in the Caribbean. Puerto Rico saw 24 inches of rain; 20 inches fell in the Dominican Republic. Hortense was replaced by the name Hanna.
