Baltimore CityROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A 38-year-old man was walking his pit bull terrier in the 300 block of Edgewood St. yesterday morning when another man approached, pointed a gun at him and stole the dog.ASSAULT: Southwestern District -- A 36-year-old man was struck with a pipe wrench while walking in the 4100 block of Potter St. yesterday.BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- More than $1,000 worth of men's clothes were stolen from a home in the 100 block of Kossuth St. after a burglar forced open a basement door between 6:45 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. Saturday.

In Baltimore City College student, 19, fatally shot in possible robbery try Rio-Jarell Tatum, a Polytechnic Institute graduate home from his first year at Pennsylvania State University, was killed Sunday night, apparently on his way to a nightclub in downtown Baltimore. Officer Troy J. Harris, a police spokesman, said Tatum was shot once in a possible attempted robbery as he was walking in the 400 block of N. Paca St. about 10:30 p.m. He was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he died.

BALTIMORE CITY* SHOOTING: Northeastern District -- A 42-year-old cab driver was in critical condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital after being shot four times Saturday. The man, a driver for Yellow Cab, was shot about 10 p.m. in the 1600 block of Ramblewood Road after an apparent argument with two men he had picked up, police said.* ASSAULT AND ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Three men approached a pedestrian in the 5800 block of Glenkirk Ave. moments before midnight Saturday, demanded money and fled with $340.

Police Blotter is a sampling of crimes from police reports in Baltimore City and Baltimore County. Baltimore City Northeastern District Arrest: Willis Lee Booker, 30, of the 5700 block of Sefton Ave., was arrested Tuesday in the 3000 block of White Ave. by members of the Warrant Apprehension Task Force on a charge of first-degree murder. He is accused in the stabbing of Jamall Hill, 23, of the 1700 block of Nome St. on Oct. 27 in the 5500 block of Belair Road. Southeastern District Shooting: Larry Cypress, 27, was talking to a man outside a bar in the 200 block of S. Broadway late Tuesday when the man shot him in the upper left leg and left knee.
